He should probably be rated just as high as McCarron if not higher with the intangibles.

He was just as good as McCarron they were splitting hairs on who to start there was even a bit of a chance he could take him this spring before the transfer. Saban just liked McCarron better for the system but Sims is a good QB.

I just posted in other thread. Is there anyway to fix his status in dynasty so you can play with him year one?

I think he's righted fair enough in the game. 86 is fine by me.

You can use him in Dynasty right now. He's just marked as a transfer. You can still use him in year one though.

I wouldnt exactly say that. Their passing skills were similar but McCaron had a much better knowledge and feel for the system. I suppose in the game.......you would say that Simms would have lower awareness......much lower now that McCaron has full year as a starter under the belt. If McCaron is an 88, I think a good OVR number for Simms would be approx 83-84. I do feel like Simms will be a good QB, possibly very good, and he should indeed be a RS Soph in the game because he was at Bama 2 years and redshirted one of those.

Can you please tell me how bc when I try put him #1 on the depth chart it gives me the message about him being a transfer and sitting out a year...let me know!
