I am trying to do some roster edits, and I find that if you change the face of any player over 200 pounds their necks/heads get ridiculously thick/fat.
EA ties certain heads to certain body sizes, so it depends on the players height and weight... this will tell which heads they make available to use (..yes, this is broken, but it has been for years)
Yea, its rough. I think most of us just accept this won't be fixed until next gen. I'm pretty optimistic we will get all the hair options and equipment we have all wanted for years. There shouldn't be anymore excuses. Regardless of what they do... they need to get rid of LIGHT FACE #1 the skinny version. If you don't know what it looks like...
I tried endlessly to get a EA dev to just make it so they put all the heads in each category. All lights/medium/dark skins in one big section and let us pick any of those heads.... dont tie it to players size ! but nooo
I totally agree. We also need more polynesian head models as well. One thing that really irked me bad was how they wouldn't unlock the RGIII head model from Heisman mode. Those are the dread people have wanted since last gen. I mean, if you went out of your way to add it into the game... make it available. Same with the Archie Griffin afro(which is marvelous). I was hoping that with this new ultimate team mode, we would get a crap ton of new head models. I hate crying about this stuff, I'm over it at this point, just ready to see what next gen has to offer us detail minded folks/editors.

players models seriously need revamping. I don't know what exactly changed but the NCAA 13' player models look better and are better proportioned than 14'
it has a lot to do with height too, anything 6'1 and over typically you get the thick neck big head syndrome. I hate this too its very annoying when trying to edit certain players. been like this now for years. it better be a distant memory for next gen. NO MORE EXCUSES
It's not the dog in the fight, it's the fight in the dog...
I am glad to know this bothers other people too. Every year when EA ask for request I have posted, please fix the big face issue...lol I remember on the ps2 versions you could actually pick the face u wanted and then add different hair styles and even facial hair. This was never brought back for ps3 or Xbox360. I am hoping for back changes for the next gen consoles. The one that irks me most is the 6'0" 300 pound DT with the tiny head, looks so ridiculous. Oh well what can u do with EA.

Yeah that clearly makes way too much sense for it to be applied
I swear EA Sports works overtime on how to be even worse at creating a sports simulation for football
Its amazing how they can nail soccer and golf so perfectly and just fail miserably at college football and NBA basketball year after year
Madden has even been failing lately which just blows my mind.... however I will admit that Madden 25 looks pretty sweet, Im hoping they finally killed it this year ( which imo would be a first on this generation of systems )

If so, we should really consider having AJ McCarron and some others that are just over at 210, etc. slimmed down a few lbs.
It differs from position to position, its pretty much one of the most ******** things I have ever seen in a video game and it makes zero sense
Why they don't allow you to just put all the faces on any player is beyond me
I do miss being able to pick a face and then the hair and facial hair. Playing the Tiger Woods game earlier this year made me wonder why the create a player for that game is good and not the same style for Madden and NCAA series.
