Historic teams rosters and depth charts

I thought it would be a good idea for us to have one thread for all the historic team information. This is basically a thread for everyone to share historic team information for anyone to use. A big reason I'm doing this I because I plan on making a vey detailed ps2 historic roster at some point and thought it would be a waste to do all sorts of research on all these teams without posting or sharing it here. Below is a list of default historic teams on the old generation versions of NCAA. Feel free to contribute and roster or depth chart information you have on these teams. You can also list aesthetic corrections as well. Also, if anyone has any old programs or media guides for any of these teams that would be a huge help. It's pretty difficult to find info on many of these teams in regards to an actual numerical roster. I typically will watch gams in full that I can find online for depth and to rate the players along with stats obviously. So if any of you want to help, feel free to do so. Just pick an available team and try to nail them down as accurately as possible.

Teams with a year in parenthesis next to them have had that respective team created in place of said year. All years that are BOLD are complete.

My plan is to turn All-Time teams into a particular best squad. As long as uniforms somewhat match up. I know some teams are harder than others to get information on.
    Thanks for any help!

I created most of these teams on teambuilder with the hope that 14 would allow all to be downloaded into a roster/dynasty. I did pretty extensive research on depth charts, uniform numbers, height/weight and skin color. Teambuilder doesnt allow for hometowns or proper class(redshirting). I tend to rate players lower than others but feel free to use any of the info from teambuilder. Teambuilder ID "OldschoolCarl". Would really like to play with thee when you gt them done!!!

Cool. Really the goal here is to have permanent roster templates for these teams so that editors won't have to dig all this info up. I just want a place where we can all share this stuff. I know certain teams in particular are really hard to find information on. I know guys like you would be able to use this thread. I eventually planning on adding equipment details and such. My goal is to make a really solid ps2 file. 06 is the better game IMO, but 09 has all the player details unlocked (hometowns/ eligibility)

Feel free to post whatever info you want. The list contains only 1980-2004 teams. Those are the only teams that NCAA 06 will allow you to edit. But I'm certainly open to the older teams as well.

Re: Historic teams rosters and depth charts

**** I have the answers to the below questions: Thanks ****

                  metallicarl,

Are those old school teams you speak about above for NCAA 14 on the PS3 ? Or perhaps NCAA 13?

I certainly would like to take a look at them. I am new to this whole console gaming arena and have not messed with the Teambuilder function at all but certainly will give it a shot to see how I can incorporate those teams into a roster for Dynasty play.

Would you happen to have a list of teams you uploaded there?

I am enjoying immensely your 1978 roster (truly a complete quality piece of work) first with the NCAA 13 game very recently but now with the NCAA 14 version just uploaded by Mick-S.

I am an old guy born in '49 and really am a late '50s thru the '60s & '70s college football enthusiast thus your masterful creation of 1978 is bringing me much pleasure in my retirement. Makes me feel like a young kid again! Thanks so much for allowing me to revisit those good ole day!

I only do CPU vs CPU and they do replay very realistically (don't know how to really play the game with a joystick and really don't care to know). I have a dynasty going as I type and watching Arkansas lose to TCU in the 3rd but likely to recover and win it. I recreated the old South Western Conference although I am a true SEC (LSU/Ole Miss) fan.

Glad to see you're doing this. Please make sure you give Matt LaVrar some nice ratings. He's a good friend of mine.

He was one of the most underrated guys on that defense. IMO that '98 Ohio State team was the best I've ever seen from a pure talent standpoint. Just nasty on defense. Matt LaVrar flew under the radar and made guys like Rudzinski and Diggs look really good. Plus his last name is pretty sweet. LaVrAAAAAAAARRRRR!
