Instructions For Generic Editors Available From Me

I created two Posts in 2015 which contained detailed instructions I wrote for myself for using the Editors. I knew that I needed to write those instructions while I was actually using the Editors so that I could capture each step correctly.

Here are links to those two posts.

I have not used either Editor in over 2 years, so I will probably not be able to answer questions effectively. However, those people still using the Editors should be able to answer detailed questions.

Good Luck!

Glad you visited. It has been a while. Little has changed.

Re: Instructions For Generic Editors Available From Me

I have rekindled some interest in NCAA 14. I have Tommy Coa's 30-year roster installed (at least, I believe that it is his roster). I have played several games with Alabama vs Clemson, using a very different setup approach. Results have been interesting. I have had close games with several going into OT. I have won and lost games. I play exclusively in full Coach Mode and I like defense-oriented, lower scoring games.

I have set Offensive Skill to Heisman and Defensive Skill to Freshman. I have set all User Offense Sliders to 15,Defense Sliders to 50 and Kicking Sliders to a mixture of numbers below 50.

CPU Offense Slider are set to 75, Defense Sliders to 50 and Kick Sliders to 40.

Setting Defense Skill to Freshman seems to eliminate the superman tendencies for the CPU. Then, I offset the easy-play of Freshman with low User Offense Sliders and high CPU Offense Sliders.

Setting the Offense Skill to Heisman makes moving the ball difficult and then reinforced with low User Offense Sliders. CPU and User Defense Sliders are set at the neutral 50 setting.

Lastly, I have used the Even-Teams setting to make both teams equal in players ratings.

I don't necessarily recommend these settings to anyone else. The game responds differently to different playing styles. What I do recommend is that players experiment with different combinations to understand how the game will respond to their individual playing styles.

Didn't you create a spreadsheet of what things meant once the roster was exported out of the editor to an excel spreadsheet

Yes -- see attached PDF - This is the only spreadsheet of definitions I have - it seems to be Madden, but many of the fields are similar.
