I appreciate everyone’s hard work updating these schedules every year.
Any update on the Florida roster?
I find it interesting that WPBPD1600 is a Miami fan but is updating all of his rivals rosters. Lol

It's more fun that way lol. I was kind of sour about giving up UF, but we traded for some teams so it is what it is.

Michigan WR Oliver Martin transferring to Iowa. Petitioning the NCAA for eligibility this season based upon a new OC at UM.

A concern, particularly at the G5 level, is that the transfer portal opens up the possibility of college free agency where formerly under-recruited players use great G5 careers as springboards to get into a Power 5 program.

If you look around the portal you'll find that what UB currently has is about the average in terms of movement for every school in the country, and plenty of other G5ers have seen the same type of movement. Just on South Alabama alone they have transfers to Oklahoma State, Syracuse, Vanderbilt, and Mississippi State.

Not saying they're all moving for the same reasons and not saying it's right or wrong, but it's just the new reality of college football.

@Appstate

Great job on Louisiana's roster. I have a couple of minor things for you:

1. The grad transfer RB Ralston is going to be the FB. The listed FB is not going to play much as far as I know and can probably be left off.

2. Senior RB Raymond Calais 5'9'' 180 Senior from Breaux Bridge, LA will see time at RB / KR-PR. Probably should be listed.

3. LT Hunt should probably be higher rated as he is a very experienced starter, a possible late round NFL pick, and maybe the best player on the team next season. When the Cajuns run, they run behind him.

4. LB Joe Dillon is a RS Junior who was a freshman All-American a couple of years ago. 6'3'' 232 from Tylertown MS. He was blazing fast and had a ton of sacks, but suffered a hip injury that's kept him out. He's thought to be back this year, but whether he can come back to form is unknown. Not sure how to reflect this in the game, but he could be a major factor if healthy.

5. WR Jackson goes by "Bam" - might be fun to put that in there.

That's it. BTW, your guys (App State) punched us in the mouth in the Sun Belt Championship. Great game and we hope to see ya'll there again this season.

1. This helps alot, as I didn't really want to have Allen on there for that reason, but UL uses a FB and he was the one listed.

2. Do you happen to know if there are post-spring depth charts out for UL? This is only really a combination of what I found from last season plus the newcomers, and the Cajuns signed a ton of players. For now, I tend to skew the roster toward underclassmen for dynasty purposes but that will change once the official season-opening charts come out. You guys are loaded at RB and in this case Calais was one of the odd men out, but if he remains the returner I'll put him on the roster.

3. Right now I have the ratings capped until all the media preseason teams are released. We use a combination of different sources' all-conference/American teams to give OVR rating boosts, and I'll have those reflected once all those are out. I know guys like Hunt, Boudreaux, Higgins and Ragas are going to make preseason teams, so they will end up being rated higher than they are now. If you download last year's roster, you can get an idea of what it will look like as those reflect the postseason teams.

4. Dillon was listed on last year's roster with a redshirt designation. I didn't know this backstory and he wasn't on any of last year's depth charts so I removed him. Hopefully he can get back to playing and I'll add him again.

5. If you can get UL sports media to change his name on the team site to Bam, he'll be Bam.

The Sun Belt is better when the Cajuns are good and I'm glad they're back to being contenders again. As for us, the expectations are high with the returning talent but the uncertainty of the new coaching staff and a schedule with a trip to Lafayette on it give pause to some lofty aspirations. It should be another fun year!
