Chef, with these your not having alot of high scoring games?

Just seems like QB-WR would work magic with the high Accuracy-Catching slider.

I try QB Accuracy on 10, WR catch on 25

Re: **TheGamingChef's Xbox/PS2 NCAA 08 Sliders

Actually with 6 minute quarters I'm seeing an average of 28 pts. per team, per game. I could never put QB Acc that low or I'd be punting 30 times a game, and the low WR Catch would contribute to far too many unrealistic drops.

The main issue I am still seeing is line play, especially in the running game. I'm working on that right now.

I am actually trying yoys now.. 7 mins quarters..

Right now with 2 mins left in the first half, I am losing 14-7, so these are cool.

I agree, running game is bad for Human. I have 9 carries for 14 yards right now.

Allright after some more testing, I've come up with a solid set for VER 2. I'm not 100% happy with these, so there will be a VER 3, but I'm getting closer. Most of this time was spent attempting to fix the running game, especially for the HUM.

All values changed from VER 1 are in bold green. I did not use any codes; from what I could tell they're broken. Couldn't figure out the difference between a one and a lowercase L.

THEGAMINGCHEF ALL-AMERICAN SLIDERS
VER 2.0

(HUM/CPU)
QB Accuracy: 40/65
Pass Block: 45/50
WR Catching: 65/65
RB Ability: 40/45
Run Block: 40/60

Awareness: 55/75
Knockdowns: 99/99
INTs: 0/0
Break Block: 50/55
Tackling: 50/60

FG Length: 35/40
FG Accuracy: 0/0
Punt Length: 45/45
Punt Accuracy: 0/0
Kickoff Length: 60/60

HINTS:
**Only attempt to block a FG when the CPU is attempting a kick over 45 yards. The percentage of your blocks combined with the percentage of the misses will total to a realistic number.
**Do not use the Jump the Snap feature, or use it rarely.
**Use the Highlight Stick feature rarely.
**Be realistic with the use of the deep ball.
**Try to bounce most runs outside of the tackle box. (The game simply won't allow much yardage with inside runs.)

Again, please leave VER 2 comments here! Let's help make NCAA 08 the best playing PS2/Xbox version ever.

Chef, I might go the other way. Charles of Colorado had 6 carries for 175 yards and 3 TDS in the 2nd half.. I gave up a ton of sacks and the game finished with me winning 38-30, but it was fun but seems like the sacks and the running game isn't too realistic.

I haven't touched version 2 since I just got home but, but I played with version 1 last night.I like what you did with CPU offense and my defense,it made it very competitive. That being said, my offense vs CPU defense was just brutal.Couldn't run(playing with Davis and CJ Spiller) and couldn't throw for any kind of realistic percentage. No inside running whatsoever and way too many jailbreak sacks. 9 dropped passes and 8 deflected passes. Just didn't feel realistic to get blown out by 30 at home against Oklahoma St

Psunate, I don't know how that happened because I have experienced more of what nccomicfan says. I was having a lot of trouble running the ball. I still have some problems with VER 2, but they're not as bad as before.

Are you guys having any problem with the return game being too easy?

I am playing on Heisman with sliders in the AI's favor and I'm stilling returning 2+ punts/kickoffs back for td's per game.
