Re: Varsity Sliders - NOT the only way to fix the CPU INT problem...

when i had CPU punt power at 0, they punted for 30 or less yards most of the time. my punter was getting around 30-35 at best(not counting if the ball roll in my favor, if the returner doesn't take it). i think i have mine at 15 or 20 for both Human/CPU, getting punts around 40 yards with no wind. not sure what the NCAA average is, but that seem good enough for me.

I'll do some testing in practice mode and see what I can come up with.

I think I will give these a try. Ive been playing default heisman for the last month and half and its not bad at all. But I just cant stand the fact that the cpu O-line is impossibe on passing downs unless your sending 7 and 8 men to get a decent pass rush. There are plenty of pass rushers in the NCAA that get constant pressure without the aid of a blitz. In this game, you just cant break away from a one on one, even with 1st team All American pass rushers. The one other thing that bothers me is 3rd downs aganist the AI and the lack of a consitent running game. Its either no gain or 20 yard gain. I also find it a little frustrating running up the gut where I prefer to pound it.

Feel free to try mine (they're in the thread starter) or fistofrage's. Just make sure to report back!

Re: Varsity Sliders - NOT the only way to fix the CPU INT problem...

Wow, seriously, these sliders are really good.

I thought moving up to Heisman would cause some serious BS but these games are fun and intense. My latest game involved me, Notre Dame, versus Washington St.

I won 35-24. Everything fell in line. My defense stinks of course but somehow my offense did enough.

Jimmy Claussen went 16-19 for about 195 yards, 1 INT. I threw only checkdowns though and refused to go deep because obviously my WRs are weak. John Carlson went 5/50/3 TDs. James Aldridge went for 35/150 or so, 1 TD at the end of the game to seal it. I went on a 17 play, 95 yard drive to ice the game. Every yard felt hard earned, heh.

Helluva game. Even Washington State only threw 1 pick. This game is super intense.

I am still getting too many picks. I wasn't before, but now I am seeing 4 a game. These are against lesser teams. What defense do you run? I only control the DT so all the picks are made by AI controlled guys. Your sliders are pretty similar to mine. I have the Human Awareness down to 0. I think I'll move it up and see if it makes them play the man more than the ball.

I had 3 in a game against Ball State, but that was the most I had. I have a feeling it's going to be a problem...

If all else fails, try going to CPU QBA of 60 and see what happens.
