Re: Slider explanation thread and statistical slider set recommendations

Thanks for the information on Boise and Hawaii:
Total plays: 62/42 (104); if you post again could you include total run statistics not just the main running back (both are needed to adjust sliders)

Player quarterback: 37 attempts,72%, 418yd, 2TD, 1 INT, 2 Sack
--Real world 32 attempts, 69%, 268yd, 2TD, 1 INT, 1 Sack
CPU quarterback: 35 attempts, 54%, 291yd, 2TD, 2 INT, 3 Sack
--Real world 27, 62%, 210yd, 1-2TD, 1 INT, 3-4 sacks

Player RB: 25 carries, 100yd, 4YPC, 4TD, Long 13, 1fb; 5 TFL
--Real world 5.5 YPC,
CPU RB: 7 carries, 13yd, 1.8YPC, 0TD, 0fb, ? Long; 6 TFL
--Real world 4.5 YPC

I will be performing my own testing soon. Obviously the human player had a great deal more success than the CPU on offense. The CPU had possibly real world % and had real world yardage and TD and sack values and slightly high INT. If this persists may need to increase QB accuracy to 35. My main concern is the CPU RB. The number of carries was very low and the yards per carry atrocious. I did actually play D during my tests but that doesn't mean it was perfect. If this is a reaccuring theme I may need to either increase the RB slider or decrease the defensive awareness a bit more (though that risk unrealistic breakout runs). If only the run blocking slider wasn't broken.

Can you clarify why the running back only carried 7 times in a game.

Re: Slider explanation thread and statistical slider set recommendations

in a perfect world.. or game.. this would work, but ncaa is far from perfect.

example. The CPU won`t be able to run with this set.
I play with player lock (Cornerback) and even then which is almost a CPU vs CPU game, the cpu won`t be able to run over 4.x constantly as they should.

My second running back didn't get any carries. And I assume Hawaii didn't run much because they play the type of spread where they pass every play (remember Colt Brennan used to have 50 pass attempts per game) and also they were down early. I also didn't remember what all info you needed. I'll write it down next time. After we get these sliders straight it might be worthwhile to look at auto-subs. For instance TCU alternates Turner and Christian at RB (both 88) but only Turner ever plays.

Re: Slider explanation thread and statistical slider set recommendations

South Carolina (me) vs. Georgia on 7 minute quarters (for more plays)

USC
62 offensive plays (excluding kicks)
33 pass attempts
48% completion
188 passing yards
3 INT
4 drops
sacked twice

29 carries (all by main back)
158 rushing yards
5.4 ypc for main back
0 fumbles
tackled for loss 5 times (includes sacks)
1 >20 yard run
long 49

UGA
68 plays
34 passes
55%
229 yards
2 INT
1 drop
sacked twice

34 runs
142 yards
4.3 ypc for #2 back (main back got injured)
0 fumbles
9 TFL
1 >20 yard run
long 24

I'm going to try another game using Corso's pick every time and see if the results differ. The las game felt pretty good. 27-16 USC victory with total O for both teams in the 300s. Two penalties on each team. Every field goal was made (several in the 50s). We need to think about lowering FG power as one of the special teams adjustments.

Re: Slider explanation thread and statistical slider set recommendations

I played an game last night using all Ask Corso but I didn't have time to record the stats. It felt pretty realistic although Corso is frequently run heavy. The game was close (Colorado vs. Colorado State). I think my QB had just over 200 yards on 24 attempts. My starting RB had about 35 carries for 178 yards (and also 100 receiving yards) while my backup had 11 carries for 46 yards. I live in Virginia so I don't if running this much is normal for Colorado or not. I've noticed when playing with Missouri that Corso calls many runs out of the shotgun which I'm not always thrilled about. Let me know of any changes. Any thoughts on special teams sliders?

Ask Corso only is definitely not the way to go. No matter who you play with, he will run the ball at least 60% of the time. He will call an I-form run up the middle on 3rd and 7. It's horrible, horrible playcalling for ask corso on offense. Every single play is either run, playaction or screen. I'm fed up.

I would suggest not going the all ask corso route.
