Potential problem with recruiting: Kickers and punters

I really like this game and the recruiting, but I've noticed a potential major problem with recruiting: Kickers and punters are basically awful. I'm sorry if this has been posted elsewhere, but I looked on a bunch of sites and didn't see it.

Basically, if you look at a recruiting class, most of the specialists have C- or lower in KPW and KAC. I simmed through a season quickly and, sure enough, most punters and kickers from the first recruiting class came in with KPW and KAC in the 60s. Or worse. Colorado signed a kicker prospect with 40 KPW and 41 KAC. Why not just put in any random player at kicker at that point?

The problem is that these ratings are way, way out of whack with the default rosters. Only 6 kickers and 1 punter had KPW less than 70 on the default rosters. But in dynasty, nearly every recruit is coming in at under 70.

Has anyone else noticed this? There is a solution which is just to create a bunch of special teams prospects, but that's a lot of effort. If I'm not imagining this, I hope that EA is aware.

There will most likely be a large ratings boost between fresh and soph seasons. Sim some more and see how the ratings progress for those newly recruited specialists.

NCAA has always been like that, you get better kickers and punters if you don't recruit them and just let them walk on. Well thats how it used to be, haven't fired up dynasty yet on this year

That isn't true this year, all the walk on kickers are garbage, along with 80% of the actual kickers. This is actually a really, really big problem that's getting over looked here.

What I've been wanting for years is a "random recruit generator" where you pick the position and relative star player value and let it generate everything else automatically. In cases like this, creating 10 kickers who are pretty decent to spruce up a horrible class would at least be a simple fix for bad game logic.

i can honestly say i have never recruited a K/P in all my years on NCAA...Walk-ons are fine and if you have a good punter and no K...I just change my punter to a Kicker and vice versa...

K/P are the least of any worries....

It can become a problem though, if every CPU team you play has a kicker who can't make anything and a punter who is terrible.

Thankfully it isn't that hard to create some kickers at the beginning of each year though.
