Nah, I'd say that's still pretty conclusive. Same as last year, and the year before, and the year before.

Re: Pancakes...

Most pancakes are seen during running plays as the offensive lineman are moving towards the defender and pancaking them to the ground. Pass blocking has the Oline moving back to form a pocket for the QB.

I think the run blocking sliders should have more effect on pancakes then the pass blocking sliders.

Re: Pancakes...

I used to get really up in arms over this back during last-gen because stats (pancakes included) had a much greater impact on a player's progression in both NCAA and Madden. To the point where Lineman progression got seriously messed up because of how many pancakes they got. But with the way it's done now on PS3/360, I don't really worry much about it anymore.

Which is good, because I'm convinced this is one stat that will never match up with the simmed results. There were far too many in-game during last-gen, and this gen there are too few (though I see plenty of knockdowns that aren't counted as pancakes).

I'll give it a try in Coach Mode later tonight to see if that's true.

Re: Pancakes...

when i get home today im going to try 100 run block (USER) vs 0 rush defense (CPU) also using a team with overall o-lineman (user) vs weak over d-lineman. if that works then i will try the same setting but with to high overall lines.

anyone at home right now who can test it out?
