    SalutationsNJ Zero Threshold Sliders

Alright guys, its been awhile since I've stepped inside the lab for some slider adjustments. I've came up with these that play very realistic. You don't have to be a stick jockey to get these down, you just have to know football. You have to be willing to open up your playbook because some schools seem like they adjust to you more realistically. OS doesn't want links to other sites on here but I played a game versus Pittsburgh as Penn State. Dion Lewis carved me up. When I focused on him and sent some pressure it seemed like the QB would use the short passing game to keep me honest. Very well played game to say the least. I lost that game 34-21 but none of it felt unrealistic. I'll play a couple of games for you guys on here and post some stats. If I ever get the youtube thing working on here I would record a game to show y'all. Hopefully with all the slider sets out there your willing to try these out.

    Thanks for reading.

    ~Ray~

Everyone...this cat's onto something w/ the threshold speed set @ O. I getting separation w/ the players that are SUPPOSE to be fast from the the ones that are not. It's a chess game now w/ the matchups & advantages w/ your speed players. THIS is a REVELATION!

your THRESHOLD speed should be @ O...try it. Here, you'll see the speed of Greg Reid of the noles. even tho, it wasn't his coverage, he almost gets the WR from behind. Is there any way to upload these w/ better rez?

Thanks for trying these. It's hard for people to try them because they automatically shoot back to NCAA '09 with the wide open gameplay when they see 0 threshold. I have a video that I want to post but not sure how to put youtube videos up on OS. It shows a CPU LB trying to cover my fastest receiver in the slot.

Maybe later in the cycle people will start realizing that this is not as bad as they think, especially with the locomotion.

                Re: SalutationsNJ Zero Threshold Sliders

I have to chime in here and say I love these sliders so far. I have tried almost every combination of sliders on this site and these appear to provide the best game for me. I really like that I have to worry about the CPU offense and the zero threshold creates mismatches where they should be. I also like that the 100 coverage setting keeps the slot receiver from being open so often on slants. The only negative to these sliders is the LB jump swat but I'll live with that if everything else is strong. Good job on these. Here is a video showing the separation potential.

                  Re: SalutationsNJ Zero Threshold Sliders

Going to try these out of curiosity. The concern I have with 'thresh' at zero is apparent in the video showing speed difference. Watching Reid close on the WR equates Reid to being roughly 20% faster than the WR he was running down. This simply doesnt exist in college.....but hey - it is a game and if it makes it enjoyable, I will learn to deal with it.

maybe don't put the thresh at 0...maybe put it at 10.

Reid's fast, but I agree with you, he's not 20% faster than the WR in the video.

the problem lies in how each slider adjustment totally changes the game. Adjusting thresh has an effect on blocking, rushing, coverage.... the key is to find that balance.

I am on the other side of the fence through. I have seen greg reid, and others, do that plenty of times in real life. To me it looked realistic, especially considering who was chasing.

Well i've played several games with these an i noticed that the computer does just as you would in throwing to the slot receiver a lot because he is so much fast than a linebacker in the 4-3 D. I think this is the way it should be played! the other thing i noticed is that its a little easier to run the ball to the outside because the D linemen cant catch you on a pitch unless they have a good angle on you. Just as the guy few post ago said its now a chess match. Moreless football smarts have to come in to play alittle when picking you play. If they have a faster wide receiver you have to play toward him. if he get behind the D hes gone if the QB gets him the ball. But enough about all that. great sliders having a blast Arkansas O looks more like they should. Just wish there D didnt play as terrible as they do in real life. these sliders make it look as they do in real life! Arkansas gave up more plays over 50 yrds last year than anyone else did. an so far i have gave up 3 in 2 games.

to each his own....to me a 20% difference in speed is unrealistic even comparing NFL corners to DIII wideouts.

If Reid runs a 4.2 that means the WR he was chasing ran over a 5.0 40. I know it is all about finding the right balance (to enjoy the game) but this zero thresh idea puts the game right back in the "just recruit fast guys in order to win" mindset that I am hoping to avoid..

No harm, no foul.....if it works for you and plays realistic to you - great.

Not necessarily...the WR, big enough to be a TE... waits or avoids the oncoming DB, kind of gets out of his stride...therefor, Reid is @ full stride & the Wr has to get back up to speed...according to the clip
