Best time for quarters...

For realistic scores/stats, what do you find to be the best quarter length? 3 mins? 5 mins? 8 mins?

8 if you just play a quick style, snapping the ball a few seconds after you line up. 9 if you like to sit at the line a bit and let the clock run.

Re: Best time for quarters...

I used to play 8 minutes, but it does drag on a bit too long. No huddle offenses can extend the game for a looooong time.

7 minutes seem to be perfect, especially with online dynasties that will have HUM vs HUM games online

I've been playing 7 min. its good for me and always gets about 60-80 plays and everything else is realistic to.

You just have to adjust quater length to fit your style of play so that you're getting a realistic number of plays on average. If you play fast, use shorter quarters. If you like to fiddle around at the line, i.e. adjust blocking, change routes, put players in motion, etc., use longer quarters. I use ten minute quarters and its works out great for me.

I'd say for cpuvscpu and coach mode 9min gives between 115-140 plays. If playing otherwise i'd say 7or 8min.just my two cents

Re: Best time for quarters...

8 mins and I let the playclock run down to about 3 or 4 before snapping the ball. I don't see the tackle stats when I play on 7 min even with a quick snap.
