Fix with sliders or not ?

Whenever I use a set of sliders I can do one thing too easily. Go into shotgun and call all verticals, I always seem to have a player open down the middle. Also on slants there seems to be players open everywhere.

This is on all levels with different slider settings, even heisman with 100 for ai pass coverage.

The problem seems to be because the ai likes to blitz too much or calls zone and my players go deep leaving them open.

Anyone else find this and what can be done ? Its really putting me off starting a dynasty as I know these deep passes are always open.

My only other option is to try and find a playbook with no shotgun or deep plays like this but i'm not sure there is one.

I house rule this as I don't call this play. It's pretty easy to do as well!

Re: Fix with sliders or not ?

A few things:

Drop QB accuracy down to 5. You'll start missing some passes over 20 yards...like those verticals.

Drop pass block/up pass rush so you don't have time to get those to develop.

Drop WR catch so they drop some.

Those routes, even in college, are going to be open a TON. They destroy zone coverage, that's why they exist. What makes them difficult to complete are the three things above. It's a long throw and it takes time to develop. While the constant CPU blitzing makes things a tick easier, it shouldn't quite be automatic if you do the above.

Re: Fix with sliders or not ?

Sliders are actually personal. Everyone plays differently so one slider for one person make not work for another.

I tend to be a good passer so I usually turn up the CPU pass D slider just to make it tougher.
