Throwing my hat into the slider game...AA/20

I haven't been able to find a slider set that fits me...I love Playmakers, but I haven't lost a game on them. I like certain aspects of other slider sets, but couldn't tweak them to my liking. I wanted to find a set that works for the CPU (since all I do is offline) and me.

My base set is Kase's...which work, but was a bit too easy to play D and to run the ball.

All American
7 Minutes
Ice Kicker: Off
HFA: On
Injuries: On
Speed: Normal
Thresh: 20

Category User CPU
QB Accuracy 15/15 (seems to work pretty damn well)
Pass Block 50/50
WR Catching 40/45
RB Ability 40/60
Run Blocking 50/85
Pass Coverage 35/45
Pass Rush 50/50
Interceptions 30/40
Rush D 25/50
Tackling 35/40
FG Power 35/35
FG Accuracy 35/55
Punt Power 50/50
Punt Accuracy 50/75
KO Power 45/45

My test matchup will always be North Carolina vs Wisconsin...2 fairly evenly matched teams.

Obviously will be tweaking as I go and will post the stats.

Also keep in mind that I'm not a very good with the stick. I play with a DT on defense and don't switch...on offense I prefer to run first, run second and run third (would play navy but I think they royally screwed up the triple option offense this year). So I'm average at best skill wise.

Pretty good game, but UW's QB was 22/24...trying 15. Running was extremely hard still, going to try lowering HUM RBA to 40 and run Blocking to 45 and CPU Run D to 50.

Clay had 13 carries for 63 yards (4.8) . Draughn had 20 for 87 (4.3)

Close game, getting frustrated that user can't generate any offense, at least against similar rated team. Lowered HUM RBA to 40, HUM RB to 45, CPU Rush D to 50, and CPU tackling to 40.

15 ACC for both teams is right on. 10/15 for me, 10/19 for CPU. Most of mine were dumps.

Going try raising HUM Run Blocking to 50 and see what happens.

Could be that UNC's OL is just terrible.

CPU pulled out 2 third and longs in the final 4 minutes. Kicked a FG to make it 20-16 with 4:52 to go. I wouldn't see the ball again. 3rd and 14 they hit me with a screen, and then 3rd and 11, I get hit with a draw...frustrating but was kinda cool to see.

Clay's #'s 25-79-2

May bump up CPU ability to 60 and see what happens.

Re: Throwing my hat into the slider game...AA/20

this game was a bit of an exception. 2 turnovers for TD's...and I figured out why I couldn't run the ball effectively. Turns out my starting RB has a speed of 82. Once I took him out and put in a Freshman with speed 94, I was able to get 3-5 yards consistently. Game flowed fine however.

still concerned that the CPU isn't running the ball...even with Wisconsin. 24-66 is dreadful. Clay was 15-48-1. Next game I'll increase CPU Runblocking to 85 and lower Human Run D to 25 and lower tackling to 35...

The rush defense slider is currently broken, and will be fixed in this week's patch, so jacking up the cpu rush def won't make them better at stopping the run, and dropping the hum rush def won't help them run better. Expect that we'll have to start over on rushing sliders, if not all of them, on Tuesday.

yeah, I couldn't get a set to play just right...either it was too easy to run, or too damn difficult to run...or the CPU wouldn't run the ball. I got to the point with these that the CPU would run the ball effectively, but the CPU wouldn't stick with it.

Obtaining a balance is almost impossible.
