Game 2: Oregon St at TCU.

The score was VERY close to what it was in real life. Most things look great, though I'm not sure why the home team couldn't run the ball in this game or the last one. If it makes a difference this game was played in the rain.

First game of my UAB dynasty against FAU using my posted sliders. FAU played horribly. I don't think I've seen a QB play worse than that ever. They couldn't even take advantage of the 3 interceptions my QB threw. Of course, I gave up a few plays too but here are the stats:

Re: CPU vs CPU Sliders (based off the Coach Mode Sliders)

I just played with Houston going up against North Carolina.

UNC QB: 23/36, 276, 0 TDs, 2 INT, Long 31, 4 sacks, 2 drops

Hout QB: 20/39, 337, 2 TD, 2 INT, Long 77, 1 sack, 5 drops

This was with QB accuracy at 35. I have it running again with the same teams.

Interesting that Case Keenum's completion rating was so low when he has such high ratings. It looks like his WR just couldn't hold on at all. Maybe WR catching is gonna need a boost with QB acc so low. We can look at all the numbers after a few simulations and I'll try it out depending on how your games turn out.

Try doing a couple of games with QB acc on 40 and compare the differences too.

Re: CPU vs CPU Sliders (based off the Coach Mode Sliders)

OK, here is what Keenum did in the rematch against UNC with the QB ACC at 35.

25/36, 374 yards, 1 TD, 2 INT, Lg 74, 1 sack, 0 drops

So, combined thats:

45/75 (60.0%), 711 yards, 3 TDs, 4 INT, 2 sacks, 5 drops

I think 35 is good. 60% against UNC who has a good defensive line is very reasonable. And as much as anything, when playing against good defenses, there should be mixed results.

Well, considering that Chase Keenum has a career 69.9% completion rating, I'd say that's a bit low and that seems to be mostly from the WR drops. I've noticed after fiddling around with sliders and watching about 4 of the same game over and over again with FAU at UAB that WR catching can be at 50 with QB acc at 35 and the WR still have a decent amount of drops just because they are bad at catching. I think after I finish watching this one I'm gonna head off to sleep and simulate/watch some more tomorrow with QB Acc at 35 and WR Cat at 50 and see how those games turn out after multiple simulations.

Against a team with a good pass rush, his % should drop off. And again, 60% is very reasonable against a team with a good pass rush. In one of the games, he was on but in the other one it was more of a struggle. He shouldnt automatically struggle against UNC but he also shouldnt be completing 70% of his passes all the time either.

The 70% he has amassed over his career has been done against a lot of cream puff teams.

So, far, Ive liked 35 in how I see the games play out and the second game of Houston against UNC only bolstered that.

UNC has an 'A' defense and their DLine is a big part of that. I think the numbers were good considering. Im currently running Houston and Cal. If Cal's QB has a better % than in his game against UNC, we'll know its UNCs defense. Likewise, if Keenum completes 60% or better of his passes, then it will be reasonable. Cal has a B+ defense.

Edit-- After 1 quarter Keenum is 8/11 with 180 yards.

Re: CPU vs CPU Sliders (based off the Coach Mode Sliders)

OK, I have some great results to report with QB ACC at 35.

What a barn burner. Houston comes from behind to defeat Cal 40-39. Each team scored a TD off of a turnover. So, if you want to look at it this way, 33-32 is probably more indicative.

Passing:

Cal QB: 31/43 (72%), 498 yards, 3 TDs, 2 INTs, Lg 97, Sacked 1, Drops 2

Hou QB: 35/54 (64%), 548 yards, 3 TDs, 1 INT, Lg 74, Sacked 3, Drops 1

Cals QB hangs in there with Keenum statistically only because Cal has a better defense and a good running game. Houston has no defense and no running game. So, when Houston plays better teams, Keenum's completion percentage should drop. The pressure's all on him to carry the team for the most part and so their offense becomes predictable. And against the better teams, it shouldnt come as easily as it does against a lot of the conference teams he plays.

I think this game on top of the previous two that I had Houston play against UNC (an A defense), should make people feel more comfortable with QB ACC at 35.
