COACHADAMS89 SLIDERS: BRINGING BACK THE REALISM

Hello everyone. I know there are many different opinions about slider sets and such. I know there are people that like to score 80 on quality opponents and think that is fun. Well if that is what your looking for, please don't follow this thread. This thread is designed for the "real" gamer. The one who wants hard fought battles and realistic statistics. This is for gamers who have great knowledge and background in football gaming. With that said, I have played about 4 games with this slider set and have been pretty good as far as realism. Of course these sliders may not work for everyone, depending on your skill level.

I like a sim style setup, so I play the whole 15-minute quarter. This can get long for some people so feel free to back down the minutes if need be. I play as my beloved Wisconsin Badgers. Known for there big backs and offensive line, I pound the ball on the ground every game. With this strategy my time of possession can get lopsided (for I take my time picking plays and snap at a realistic time). However statistically, it does not affect.

So here is my setup: (using BUCKEYE02 roster share)

Post game Thoughts:

Game played really well. Messy game turnover wise for both sides as we had a combined 7 turnovers. My horse (J.CLAY) got hurt 3 minutes into the game. Marshall's first drive got a big run on me. After tough defense, they decide to kick a 60yd fg and miss it. My first drive and ground and pound all the way down to the field where J.CLAY recovers from his previous injury to score 6. After another great series on D gives me good field position and able to get close enough to finish the drive with a 51yd fg. Marshall's next possession drives the ball well on me but then fumbles on my 30yd line. After my offense sputters and Marshall gets the ball back, they throw an INT on my 30yd line. I in return fumble it right back to them and they capture a 47yd fg on the drive. After some tough drives a miss one off the crossbar at 48 yds. Marshall follows with a 36 yd miss of their own. After some more back and forth possessions they are at my 35, 4th and 15 and surprising go for it and fail. Turnover on downs. However they regain momentum as a throw an INT on the following drive. Marshall's kicker has a bad day as he misses a 40 yd fg in the middle of the 4th. After back and forth I fumble at my own 18, J.CLAY gets hurt again and is now out of the game with a strained bicep. Defense holds tough and stops them on 4th and 2. Next possession I hit a big post route that sets me up with a late 4th qtr fg to make it 23-3. Overall game played nice and statistics are realistic. Looking forward to week 2!
