Re: Mwolfe's Better Defense Trial

Here are the first stats of my new season with my updated sliders, this was a dirty game as penalties wrecked havoc and so did the KU defense did with getting 9 sacks in the game, yes that high but most of them was my fault for trying to make something out of nothing instead of throwing the ball away. My run game average suffered from the minus yards of all the sacks, but my got to plays with Miami's PB was the HB Screen in Ace, I Formation and Shotgun formation, as it helped me get out of some tight spots.

Buffalo played agressive game plan all game which resulted in their massive amount of penalties. This is the second time where I have seen the CPU change its gameplan according to how they are doing, when the CPU is aggressive you will see their penalties climb, but I have seen them in conservative game plan as well in my CPU vs CPU Dynasty where the CPU was up 31 to 0 and had chew clock on the entire fourth quarter.

Re: Mwolfe's Better Defense Trial

Just got done playing K-State at their home and what a game it was I was up and got my first tow big runs of the season with Jay Finley, a 79 yards touch down run out of an ace big formation in Miamis PB, and a 53 yard run out of the Twins I formation. Although through out the game neither team could pass I was up 25 to 14 late fourth. Then low and behold K-State puts on a great drive to bring them down field and make it 25 to 20 and failed to get the two point conversion. There was only 47 seconds left on the clock as K-State lined up for the one-side kick. Now here is the kicker I recover the onside kick just to fumble it away as K-State ran it all the way to the house for six making it 25 - 26 pending the two point conversion. I try and challenge the fumble forgetting that this late in the fourth there is no way to challenge it, and go back to review the replay just to see the referee make the worst call ever as both of my guys knees was down when he went down and it was the turf that knocked the ball loose. They go on make the two points and I go know where with the ball after that and they win 28 - 25. The only thing I could think of is all the bad calls a ref could make and I got screwed by one. So with that in mind now you know that the refs in the game take lessons from the refs in real life in how to make bad calls. Stats to be posted soon.

Re: Mwolfe's Better Defense Trial

Just got playing against Rice, and I thought this was going to be a bad game. First quarter was really slow as I couldn't run or pass the ball and kept giving it back to them, but second quarter all cahnge as I startedto attack the weak secondary and forced them to back off the line of scrimmage and from there on I never let down. This is the first game however there has never been a fumble at all, and the first game that only one sack was recorded even though Rice lined up in five wide a lot in the game.

Re: Mwolfe's Better Defense Trial

Just got done with Nortre Dame and thank heavens for a run game as my passing game has been held in check for a few games now. This was a close one but thankfully an int in the endzone help seal the victory in this game.
