Harsh, Maker

I have tested these.. They won't work these year, but I have no idea where to start to get a sweet spot..

EA did a better job with the sliders, but work is to be done..

Re: mkharsh33 Varsity / Slow Speed / 8 Min

Just played my first game with these sliders... Great stuff! I usually never play over 7 minute quarters because scores get out of hand but these were great.

#13 South Carolina (HUM) 28, Georgia (CPU) 21 OT
at South Carolina

Georgia took a 13-0 lead into halftime, but South Carolina scored 14 unanswered to take a 14-13 lead in the fourth quarter. UGA wore down the clock and took the lead on a 10 yard run by Carlton Thomas with 48 seconds remaining, and converted the 2-point conversion to go up by 7.

However, UGA's defense couldn't contain Alshon Jeffery, as Stephen Garcia found Jeffery twice on the frantic drive downfield, including hitting the junior in full stride on a fade for the game-tying score with just seven seconds remaining.

UGA won the toss and elected to play defense first in overtime. Marcus Lattimore showed why he has a reputation to get stronger as the game wears on, shaking off two tackles on a run up the middle to score on a 17 yard run. On defense, the Gamecocks punished Aaron Murray, ending the game with a Devin Taylor sack to give USC a hard earned victory over an SEC East rival.

UGA USC
Score 21-28
First Downs 11-13
Total Offense 258-320
Rushes/Yards/TD 37/103/2-36/166/2
Comp/Att/TD 9/29/0-14/24/2
Passing Yards 155-154
3rd Down 7/18 (38%)-4/13 (30%)
4th Down 1/3 (33%)-0/1 (0%)
2-Point 1/1 (100%)-0/0 (0%)
Red Zone/TD/FG 4/1/2 (75%)-2/2/0 (100%)
Turnovers 0-0
Fumbles Lost 0-0
Interceptions 0-0
PR Yards 76-27
KR Yards 23-122
Total Yards 357-469
Punts/Average 5/49.0-5/33.8
Penalties/Yards 12/100-3/28
Time of Possession 15:46-16:14

Passing
UGA - Aaron Murray: 9-for-28, 155 yards, 5 sacks
SC - Stephen Garcia: 14-for-24, 154 yards, 2 TD, 3 sacks

Rushing
UGA - Carlton Thomas: 21 carries, 121 yards (5.7/carry), 2 TD (long 50)
SC - Marcus Lattimore: 28 carries, 154 yards (5.5/carry), 2 TD (long 17)

Receiving
UGA - Rantavious Wooten: 3 catches, 69 yards
SC - Alshon Jeffery: 5 catches, 84 yards, TD
No user drops, 5 CPU drops (one was by a SS playing WR)

Defense
UGA - Jeremy Sulek (MLB): 10 tackles
UGA - Reuben Faloughi (OLB): 9 tackles
UGA - Brandon Boykin (CB): 7 tackles, sack
UGA - Bacarri Rambo (SS): 7 tackles
UGA - Shawn Williams (FS): 7 tackles

SC - Quin Smith (OLB): 10 tackles
SC - Devonte Holloman (FS): 7 tackles
SC - Corey Robinson (DT): 6 tackles, sack
SC - Travian Robinson (DT): 5 tackles, 2 sacks
SC - Devin Taylor (DT): 3 tackles, 2 sacks

Kicking
UGA - Blair Walsh - 2/2 FG, long 44 (went over the bar by inches probably, and there was no wind this game)
SC - Jay Wooten - 4/4 PAT, 3 touchbacks

Punting
UGA - Drew Butler - 5 punts, 49.0 avg, touchback, long 52
SC - Jay Wooten - 5 punts, 33.8 avg, long 35

Just based on one game, some stuff to look at is going to be:

CPU QB Accuracy/HUM Pass Coverage (Murray is considered one of the better SEC QBs, has a great arm, 93 THP/87 THA - he should be hitting better than 9-for-29 and no TDs)
CPU WR Catching (5 drops seems like a lot?)
HUM WR Catching (no drops? I don't user catch)
HUM Punt Power (I don't feel like an SEC punter should be averaging 33.8/punt - none of them were coffin corner type punts either)
CPU Kickoff Power (no TBs?)

Just some thoughts! Hope this helps. Seems like you have a great starting base.

Last year remember before the patch there was no ROBO QB on varsity level

We only had to adjust the CPU QBA and Pass Coverage because of the patch making the CPU QB's over powered

If i remember correctly the original sliders before the patch had CPU QBA 55-60 i'll have to go back to the old thread and look it

I also think Pass Coverage was something like 40 or 45 for Human

I can offer suggestions i just don't want to the work this year LOL!
You'll laugh... I save my old notes in folder on my laptop. i found what you just said. I have some major tweaks coming based upon Yukon's ideas and what I'm seeing in practice mode. I'll put them on page 1 - post 1 now.

Everything on 50 isn't bad, but finding a working combo is kinda hard.. AA is too easy and fake.. Heisman is ok, but can cheat with way too many sacks.. When are you posting the tweaks?

Re: mkharsh33 Varsity / Slow Speed / 8 Min

I'm going to run with Yukon's ideas of the 40 user / 60 cpu values - meaning, no user sliders above 40 and no cpu sliders lower than 60. The only exception is special teams - that concept won't work.

NEW SLIDERS POSTED - PAGE 1 - POST 1.

We may be in for a long few days/weeks fellas... I'm now seeing this game doesn't play much on varsity like last year at all...

So I don't need the "you can never do this..." stuff but rather specific numbers on what works.
Never intended for anything to seem attitude'ish, did not come in here with that intent...... just trying to relay what I thought about the basic principles on Varsity

I was actually very excited and interested in your idea's, mainly from your comments regarding "HOW" you played the game ! ....And when I looked at your arena, I knew you would be over 35

That may be true....I actually never play Special Teams any more, I have just been simming them for the last few seasons !
ST's is either way too easy, or crazy hard...there seems to be no happy medium, so simming works for me.

Re: mkharsh33 Varsity / Slow Speed / 8 Min

I'm enjoying default Heisman (with 2-3 very minor tweaks) right now, but I'll be keeping an eye on this thread. You always do a good job with sliders, MK, and I know our gaming style is similar.

Good luck to you guys with the testing. Remember, have fun
