    Pass Coverage Slider

Guys, I just started building my slider set for NCAA 12. In checking the sliders, I have come to the conclusion that the pass coverage slider is not functioning correctly on heisman or all-american. Test this for yourselves and boost the pass coverage slider to 100. the problems with the deep pass consistently being open is a huge issue this year.

I was hoping some of you could test this to make sure my theory is correct.

Boost the pass coverage slider to 100 and tell me if see if it makes a difference... I think you will see it doesn't.

I recall seeing something about speed being a bigger factor this year, so if a defender gets beaten, and is slower, he is not going to recover. A pass coverage slider probably will not change this for defending deep passes.

Have you noticed a difference in reaction times of defenders on shorter out or curl or crossing routes?

At 50, on AA, I see the CPU reacting way too fast to throws and jumping routes. I am actually thinking of toning down the CPU pass coverage to try and tone this down.

I'm playing with pass coverage down around 10 - 20 because the CPU defenders react to the press of the button which results in guys knocking down/intercepting passes that they should not have even been AWARE OF.

I've had good results so far.

Thanks. I think I also had this question to you in SN Slider forum. I'll try that.

I agree.. I currently have the pass coverage on 100 myself and I'm still shredding the CPU deep or short on Heisman.. They been getting to me a little better since I made the CPUs pass rush a little better..

Yes, it will be a heisman set. AA feels a little too "dumb downed" this year. I will begin posting my findings later on today, but don't expect a complete set until later on this weekend. I just started with QBA this morning. Next I will determine threshold.

Im not seeing this issue with the deep ball are you guys saying your able to just throw up bombs all the time. I think Ive completed 2 in about ten games but figured that was normal..

Pass coverage does improve bat down on most passes with practice testing. However, deep is broken and EA is working on it. In my testing I have seen the bug. The safety in zone doesnt move to cover the sideline WR until he is 10 yards past.

That's been my observation as well. I think they need to release a tuner to fix this issue.

I tried turning coverage all the way down to 0 on AA and was still seeing rediculous coverage from the CPU.

I think the issue may be with threshold, which I have at 30. It may be giving DBs too much of a jump on the ball, and also giving blitzers too much of a jump. I am going to turn it back to 50 and see if that helps.

Though there is a whole other thread on "broken D AI" where this may be part of a bigger issue of how the AI plays zone this year just being too good, as there are a number of people noticing easier passing on Heisman vs man coverage, whereas the CPU plays more zone coverage on AA, making it harder to pass against.

Agree 100%. Changed mine from 25 to 40 and have been seeing much better results in everything from coverage to line play and running game. I think a lower setting effects the hum players more than cpu this year as it seemed to make the game easier. Now I am getting more of a challenge and the players are playing as they should as scrubs or stars.

I've played 4 or 5 games now with pass coverage and interceptions down to "10" and it's made a nice difference.

The ridiculous super jumping, psychic dbacks, etc. is toned down -- though not cured.

I feel moreso that I'm only punished by bad decisions and poorly thrown balls; not by the stupid canned animations.

Don't remember where but they stated they are going to tune/patch safety response to recievers as it is a known issue.
