Thanks again for your research and dedication to the game Oraeon. After watching the video Versus2 posted I'm seriously considering playing at varsity.

lol.. since the average low is around 50 degrees in both locations, and record lows close to 32 degrees during the month of september... you might want to find something else to complain about

The problem is EA takes no pride in rating players at the skill position to be effective blockers or even avg blockers to be honest.

The ratings can be used to make WR's cut block, block with more force or simply just distract the CB long enough to make plays work.
Well you could fix the awareness problem with the player editor if you really wanted to. My rule so far is that you -10 awr from their original awr rating if you change anyones positions and set everyother attribute back to its original setting if it was changed when you switched positions

not too many people realize how effective you can make blocking on the outside if you tweak the ratings.

EA will not adjust blocking ratings for non skill players....

It doesn't matter what they do in a patch or tuner if the WR's aren't rated to block properly or effectively

2 more points I have found with further testing:

1) You can fix this by creating a chip block with run defense set to 30 or less.

2) Very strangely this fix doesn't work against the HB slant type plays only for pitches, options, and tosses. There is no fix for the HB slant. So if you want to test the run defense changes make sure you have called a toss play.

3) WR blocking values have no impact whatsoever. In fact I have altered awareness, strength, run block, pass block, and both types of footwork and strength, as well as block shedding. Nothing fixes this as the game just never engages the players at all so there is no roster fix for this and thus likley no tuner fix.

I want to stress I already tested awareness quickness and all the player stats that could even vaguely cuase this. It is a programming bug and not a stat mismatch (if it was it would effect all formations not just cover 2 zones). You can do whatever you want with awareness it won't help. Versuz2 was incorrect that is not the problem at all, neither is speed, agility, play recognition, pursuit or any other statistic. I have tested every one of them sequentially today with no improvement.
