Stat Accuracy

Good Evening Folks,

This is a little something to help the stat minded folks, "try" to achieve the most accurate sliders. These are some averages for the current college football season (thanks to teamrankings.com).

These are per team:

Points per game - 32
Plays per game - 73
Total yards per game - 425
Passing yards per game - 302
Percentage completion - 60%
Pass attempts per game - 29
Rushing yards per game - 201
Rushing attempts per game - 40
Sacks per game - 2
Interceptions per game - 1

Now, on a few of these I compared some of these stats and threw out an equal number of extremists (teams that run ALOT and pass ALOT, i.e. Army and Houston). I think if your looking for the ultimate set of sliders these stats may help you achieve them.

Good luck, I'll try to get my sliders as close as I can and if I come up with something I'll post them.

Re: Stat Accuracy

Good Day Folks,

After several experimental games I think I have reached slider satisfaction. I played powerhouse v powerhouse, cupcake v cupcake, average v average, powerhouse v cupcake (blowout like I expected), powerhouse v average (upset) and average v cupcake. The stats were very pleasing to me. Here are the sliders I have been using and some of these I will explain why they are set that way (Note these sliders are used for CPU v CPU or Coach Mode):

Skill: All American
Injuries/Fatigue: On
Quarter Length: 7 Minutes
Play Clock: On
Game Speed: Very Slow **Updated 12/6/11**
Threshold: 0 **Updated 12/6/11**
HFA/Ice Kicker: On

Offside:100
False Starts: 100 **Updated 12/6/11**
Holding: 54 **Updated 12/6/11**
Facemask: 55 **Updated 12/15/11**
OPI: 100
DPI: 100
KR/PR Interf: 100
Clipping: 54 **Updated 12/6/11**
Int Grounding: 0 **Updated 12/6/11**
Roughing Passer: 55 **Updated 12/15/11**
Roughing Kicker: 100

Both User and CPU

QBA: 55 (This allows for a higher completion percentage and he will still throw floaters down field)
PB: 50 **Updated 12/21/11**
WRC: 40 (They still will drop some easy ones from time to time but also has a tendency to drop balls when they get nailed)
RBA: 55 **Updated 12/15/11**
RB: 50 **Updated 12/15/11**
PC: 60 (This one was a tuffy, but decided with this number because your frequency of getting beat on the long ball is greatly reduced and you short passes are covered.) **Updated 12/6/11**
PR: 45
INT: 20 **Updated 12/6/11**
RD: 45
TKL: 50 **Updated 12/21/11**
FGP: 50
FGA: 35 (The accuracy of a real college kicker at 40+yds is aweful)
PP: 45
PA: 35
KOP: 50

If you try these let me know how you like. Thanks!

Re: Stat Accuracy

Howdy,

Just a quick summary of how my season is going using this stat set. I have taken the Offensive Coordinators job at UL-Lafayette. I am in week 8 and we have a record of 4-3. Here are the mid-season stats for the squad:

Leaders:

QB-Chris Masson
Rating:154.8 109-185 1712 yds 12 TD 3 INTS 244.5 Avg
58% Comp 15.7 AvgComp 16 Sacks
RB-Qyendarius Griffin
81 Att 425 yds 5.2 Avg 2 TD 60.7 yds/gm
WR-Andrew Joseph
25 Rec 346 yds 13.8 Avg 2 TD 49.4 yds/gm
MLB-Richard Brooks
55 Tack 26 Solo 29 Asst 6 TFL 3.5 Sacks
K-Brett Baer
6-8 75% Long 43
P-Hunter Stover
33 Punts 1187 yds 35.9 Avg

Team Totals:

Offense:
3454 Total Yards 2528 Off Yards 1712 Pass 816 Rush 23.5 PPG
12 PTD 8 RTD 16 Sacks Allowed

Defense:
2496 Yards Allowed 1943 Pass 553 Rush 200 Pts 30 Sacks 1 FR 0 Int

Now while playing I do make the following adjustments:
OFF:
Agg Blocking (Holds Blocks Longer)
Agg Impact Block (Big Blocks)
Con Catching (Focus On Catch)

DEF:
Con Pass Coverage (Deeper Zones) (Trying not to get beat deep)
Con Ints (Swat Ball) (Hence the 0 Ints)

Well that is all for now.

Re: Stat Accuracy

Hey bro, your slider set seems pretty realistic. I'll give 'em a try and see what they have to offer. If possible, I'll post the results over here. can I?

Re: Stat Accuracy

Why are these sliders slept on?? These is a dangerous set right here. Everybody thinks the answer for everything is to lower everything to negative 50. NO!! You dont have to make drastic changes to get a good set.
Ur a good man.

Re: Stat Accuracy

How do you suppose these sliders would work if I were to play with an almost all run triple option gameplan?
