Re: Schnaidt1's NCAA 13 AA sliders

Thanks for these sliders. I thought they made a lot of good improvements to the gameplay. There were a few issues that I noticed:

- Pass rush had too many instant chip blocks by OTs vs DEs, sometimes multiple instant breakdowns. By D rated teams against strong OL.

- My tweaked pass rush settings create occasional breakdowns after a few seconds, which is more realistic imo. Sometimes you can sit in the pocket vs 4, sometimes he'll get to you after a brief 1v1 battle, no more tackle dummy swim moves.

- I also improved catching, as the wide open drops were a bit too frequent for the CPU.

My tweaked set:

10 | 25 - QB Accuracy
35 | 40 - Pass Block
40 | 55 - WR Catching
60 | 90 - RB Ability
30 | 45 - Run Block
65 | 80 - Pass Coverage
50 | 25 - Pass Rush
45 | 45 - Interceptions
25 | 45 - Rush Defense
20 | 15 - Tackling
50 | 50 - FG Power
40 | 40 - FG Accuracy
50 | 50 - Punt Power
40 | 40 - Punt Accuracy
45 | 45 - Kickoff Power

But i love the lower tackling setting. It gives much better animations and feel. Maybe my one game was an anomaly, we'll see.

I'm going to give it a few more games as well. I did feel my last game had too many missed tackles, but my first game was fine. I do like the slider set so far.

After I complete a game, I write down the team stats, then the individual player stats, then get on the computer and enter them manually. I don't recall ever having to sign in, but I may have when I first started using it.

I'm going to leave the sliders at your settings for one more game. I will play as a powerhouse against a average team. See if I feel like I'm the dominant team at all times.

For the tables, that site isn't recognizing my OS username and password. Did you have to register to that site as well?

For this game report, I played as Clemson against New Mexico to see if these sliders made the User feel like they had an advantage when using a better school against a below average team.

Well, for this game I started out with the default slider settings you have, then made two adjustments to the CPU sliders at the start of the 2nd quarter.
CPU RB Ability- 75
CPU Pass Coverage- 55

Reason I switched those, I felt New Mexico was having way too much success on the ground to be playing Clemson. Especially since I was playing a lot of
4-3 & 4-4 defense's and dropping the safties. & I couldn't ever find a WR open on the offensive side of the ball. But after the adjustments, I felt like I was in more control, had better passing opportunities. Not too easy, but not too hard. NMU still had success with running the ball, but they weren't popping 7-10 yards a carry like they were in the 1st quarter.

Overall, except for the 1st quarter, New Mexico never really hung with me. they scored at pivotal times to stay some-what in the game, but couldn't ever catch up. I feel like this is how it should have been. I had good success with passing game after adjusting the sliders, though I would still go on to throw 2 INTs, one was just plain stupid, I was rushed out of the pocket on a blitz and took a shot down field to a guy who was double covered.

I'm about to start another game and bump of the quarter length from 8 to 9 minutes with my slider adjustments to see how it goes. I'll be using Tennessee and playing against UNLV.

Auburn was the slightly better team and being at home probably should have won. Was the tale of two halves, as there were lots of points/yards in the 1H but the 2H I didn't get anything going and AUB kept shooting themselves in the foot. Sliders did seem solid but I'm considering amping up some offensive sliders because all my games have been low scoring.

I do like the randomness of the game. So far, the 2H can be totally different than 1H, which is different from years past. Another key was I didn't have any TO's, whereas my first two contests I had four each.

Still a work in progress for me.
