We are monitoring and fixing issues in this thread.
Thanks for your patience.
The upgrade is complete, but you've probably noticed the forums are only showing posts up to about April 8. Posts made after that are still in the process of being moved over, and that should take another week or two. Feel free to start a new thread.
The site might feel a little slow while work continues. Engineers are staying on it through the night to get things moving faster again. Thanks for your patience.
For those curious about CPU vs. CPU and if they should make the move to NCAA 13, I would say wait.
A lot of the core issues from past NCAA games are in this game and its up to EA to decide how they wish to sort it out.
The biggest gameplay ones would be the questionable play calls. Teams still call predominately a similar cycle of 15/20 plays. The defense is overly aggressive in strange situations. Strange lags and glitches in plays turn what should be meager gains into small TDs.
With proper tuning, these could be fixed appropriately. In turns of playcall, back in Madden 11 I discovered that certain plays were weighted more than others. For example, 4 Verticals was given 4 stars and therefore used much more than plays given 1/2 star. The only thing that should be weighted is the type of attack. If you want to run up the middle, you should simply get more plays up the middle, not the same play. If you want to throw the ball with a medium passing attack, they shouldn't give you a ton of screens or routes with 3 guys running 20 yards down field. This is all set pregame or in menus.
Defense is more of the same. Just because a team is "aggressive" doesn't mean they should bring 6 guys on 4th and 15 with 45 seconds left and get burned for a 50 yard TD. In reality, defenses break down and give up long TDs, but it should be because of a good offensive play, not awkward defensive play calling. An outside receiver would very rarely be in single coverage at that stage, should be reflected in game.
Recruiting also I have seen some issues with. Teams don't know when to stop recruiting players. If a school like CMU is chasing a kid with Ark, LSU, Bama, and Texas in front, they keep going after him until the day he commits. When they switch views to other potential recruits, so do other power schools who missed on guys. These schools should be trying to identify the gems and strike early, not stay locked in on guys they can't have. What that has led to is nearly 50 teams through 8+ weeks of recruiting with 2 or less players. Meanwhile, my Arkansas team has 13, schools like Bama and Oklahoma have 11, etc.
This game has the potential to be a blast, just going to take some work EA and patience from us users.
I have a quick question, why aren't you running the spread with Carolina? That's what their offense will be under Fedora.
Anyways these sliders look decent. I'll give them a shot.
I hate the spread. I like.smashmouth ball. And my game broke lol. So ill be able to get my updated sliders out this weekend.. But will do more tweaking for the os offial rerated rosters
