Good Game here against out inner-state rival. The game was closer than the final score would have it look, they really stayed with me step for step here even without a running game at all.

Matching up against a 1-1 Fresno State team in week 4. They're a +1 offense and a -1 defense.

Really appreciate you posting the results. They look great. Lately I'm starting to shut down the CPU run more. I might go straight 100's next year. I've had very low scoring games. I basically try and play as turnover free as possible. I will post some stats on my end soon. Almost done with the season.

To update I was able to take down Wisconsin. I was +1 turnover battle, I won on a TD in the final 30 seconds. That was a big game. For one, they had a +3 offense and a +4 defense. So about as good a team as I faced all year. I shut down the run nearly completely. I was also able to run the ball reasonably well. It was completely outside the experience I had vs similar rated MSU and OSU teams. This was the game that followed my epic Iowa win.

The following week I went to Penn State. Jumped on them 21-0 in the first quarter, but Christ was it a battle the rest of the way. I won 24-21, but only because the clock ran out. I was hunted after going up by 3 TD's and they just ran out of time. Penn State was a 0 offense and +2 defense.

So now I have tallied 3 wins, albeit very dramatic, against 3 teams that were better then me. 2 of which a good deal better. Maybe it's the fact that half my team is hot right now. Maybe I'm adjusting to the sliders. I would like to make them a touch more difficult, but I don't have much more room to adjust the areas I want to make more difficult.

But in general I like things annoyingly difficult, certainly more then most. So how I feel about these right now will probably work great for most users so long as they understand to either limit turnovers or adjust the slider. Personally, I like the limit turnovers approach, because that's real football. Any team that loses the turnover battle usually loses the game and if your team is worse that is most certainly the case.

My god man, 12 sacks?!? That is crazy. I blitz like a sob and haven't hit 5 all year. Great job. I'm loving your run numbers. Hoping to see that CPU run game kick in more. I've certainly gotten torn up by it, but i can run dormant. I play standard settings, but I might switch to strip ball. That way I allow more broken tackles and adding a few more fumbles to the cpu wouldn't hurt either. FYI, to anybody who likes this set, no pancakes. Sorry. I felt it was a worthy price to pay for the rest of the game play.

Me and my boy Tarheel have got some edits in there that make this game just beautiful, if you can handle the work.

If you do stop by there ignore the stuff at the top of the page, that was the first edits I was doing to try and save time. They work good and it would be a better playing game than you have now but if you really get into what were talking about at the bottom you can produce a really great game.

Even if you don't want to do the edits I would suggest you stop by there so you can find out whats really wrong with this game, I'm playing all 50 sliders All-American slow speed with 50 threshold after my edits. Just a solid game.

And oh yeah IDK what was going on in that first game I was prepared for a good close matchup and we just came out crazy NEVER NEVER had a defensive game like that without juiced up sliders or something before even more surprising to me than the sacks were the FF we had 6 Forced fumbles(4 in the first half) I've never had that before. All my settings all set to normal to none aggresive no strip ball or anything it was just big hits knocking the ball out all day!!

Yeah those Colorado rushing numbers are averaging out like the nations 9th best rusher on your yearly NCAA stat page huh?

It will be interesting to take these into year 2 and get another season in. Based on what I'm seeing, the sliders are doing most of what I want them to do. I do feel like it's much more of a challange against the + teams, at the very least, you need to go in with a game plan. I know I can run against bad teams, but the good ones will shut me down (most the time). I like that, the most the time part. It's all about variance to me and that's what these have provided.

Thanks for sharing that link. I'm not sure I'm willing to take it to the extent of adjusting player ratings, but most years I do use the adjusted coaching sliders. It seems like just about every next gen NCAA game has been broken in some way, this community has really helped me to get the game playing in a way that still makes for a great experience. I will post a few more game stats here shortly. No player boxes, but I have the team stat boxes.
