Kickoff Power slider - too many touchbacks

Where is everyone as far as their human/cpu kickoff power slider?
I am noticing that EVERY single kickoff that I boot is 5 yards deep (or deeper) for a CPU touchback. I had both human and cpu kickoff power at 40, where I would still get touchbacks every single time, but the cpu kicker would only kick it to my 5 yard line, so I'd always get a return. So I lowered mine to 35 and still getting all touchbacks.

I haven't seen anyone else mention this problem and from the looks of it, the popular slider sets don't have kickoff power this low. So what's the deal? Can anyone help me or give me suggestions...

Your kicker its too good I guess. I've never had one go to the back of endzone on default settings with an average kicker.

Nope, it's not the team kicker. I haven't started dynasty yet. Have only done 20 exhibition games, using different teams each time.

BTW, the way I test my own sliders is I use the same team (BYU vs BYU or Florida vs Florida) for me and the CPU and just rotate being home and away each game. This way I'm perfectly level in game testing, with all things being equal, so to speak.

Getting great results with most of my sliders. It's just the kickoff power is absurd. I always max out my kicks, but there's no way I should be consistently be booting kickoffs 5 yards back in the end zone, regardless of team, using 35 as human kickoff power. Meanwhile the CPU usually only kicks it to my 2-5 yard line at 40 kickoff power.

I use All-American skill level for offense/defense. Don't think that has anything to do with it though.

In my experience the better the kicker the more the touchbacks. My current kicker's kck pwr is only 84 so I don't put many in the endzone. This is with default kickoff pwr

I have mine on user 20/ cpu 40 this works really well for me

I have mine at 0 and get touchbacks all the time. I also play with cpu at 40, thats a good sweet spot. User slider is broke I get same result at 50 as I do at 0, this is tested in dynasty and play now.

It's because they moved up 5 yards where they KO from last year in college football. A lot of the kickers can now kick in the end zone. Most of the time if they kick it shorter it's by design.

This is fact. I have my kickoff power at 0 and still get a touchback every single time. Only thing I can do to make it realistic is aim the arrow up some.

The User Kick Power Slider does appear to be ineffective this year. So, I reduced Kick Power Ratings for all Kickers by 30 points (I used the Generic 360 Editor to perform this mass reduction in less than 5 minutes). User Kickoffs now regularly drop between the 15 yard line and the goal line.

If you don't use the editor, or are on a PS3, just go into the Roster ratings for the teams you plan to control as a User and perform the Kick Power reduction.

The CPU Kick Power Slider is functional.

It's because they moved up 5 yards where they KO from last year in college football. A lot of the kickers can now kick in the end zone. Most of the time if they kick it shorter it's by design.

People just don't seem to get that there are suppose to be more touchbacks with them moving up 5 yards.

Yeah, we all understand the rules changed, but every single kickoff going for a touchback, most being far in the back of the end zone, is frustrating. It's so easy to get full on the kick meter if you know what you're doing, and even horrible kickers on low slider settings kick it really far. It's not the five yatds, because if it was, the CPU would boot it too.

I actually just lowered my user kickoff power to 25 and didn't get any touchbacks for a game. Granted it was CMU, with a weak kicker. He couldn't even get a 45 yard FG anywhere near the goalpost.

Needs more testing, but I'll update again next time I play...

See the thread I started on stats for sliders. The leading team in touchbacks last year (Oklahoma) had 75 if my memory serves me right.. 75.
