Not sure if this is a result of heisman difficulty, at times however, my defensive backs appear lethargic and allow big plays downfield on man coverage and zone.

I also noticed with this slider set that the cpu makes you pay for turnovers. Not a problem though, in real life turnovers often dictate the flow and outcome of the game.

Also, I will tune down the roughing the passer penalty, there were at least 6-7 calls in the game. Many of them came against me at crucial points of the game.

Blake Bortles of UCF was 19/29, 317 YDS, 1 TD, 3 INT and had a 65% completion rate.

Gunner Kiel of Cincinnati was 16/25, 266 YDS, 3 TD, 1 INT and had a 64% completion rate.

Strong offensive showing with a little bit of everything. Both turnovers due to interceptions, mine was on a 50+y pass that got intercepted at the goal line. Finally some solid rushing from my team.

I am updating the slider set in the first post to represent the exact sliders I played this game with.

This game came down to the last second, literally. Shawn Moffitt made a field goal with 0:02 left on the clock at the USF 1 yard line.

For the past two games the cpu run game has been overly effective. I literally have to stack the box in a 4-3 defense.

Both quarterbacks completed about 80% of their passes as opposed to my previous game where both qb's threw around a high 60% completion rate.

Let me know what your thoughts are concerning the stats for this game.

In my games the CPU running game has been highly ineffective, but I defend the middle quite aggressively and use QB spy fairly often. Overall the stats look pretty decent. How's your sacks per game?

This game turned into an embarrassing slaughter of Utah State. My offense was not even that effective, but their offense was horrendous. 11 sacks, 1 INT, 1 fumble and 2 muffed punts. I wouldn't be surprised if the Utah State injury report reads: Chuckie Keeton - deceased. Yikes

Lol concerning Chuckie Keeton. I am averaging about 4-7 sacks a game.

Re: A methodical approach to understanding sliders. Tests & Resuls

1. I tried the testing of pass coverage as you suggested. I couldn't tell any difference betwenn 0 and 100 in man coverage looking back. For awhile I thought they were but when I stuck with it and completed 20 plays with each rating 0, 50, 100 it turned out to be 5-6 plays of good coverage that occured at 0 or 100. Maybe I am testing incorrectly but I just can't see what this slider does.

2. I think you are going to run into the same problem I have. Lower pass block + QBA adjustments result in realistic completion percentages but ludicrous sacks. I haven't figured out anyway to fix this other than having a realistic number of dropped passes. I'll be interested to see if you find a work around.

If QBA/Pass blck settings are yielding too many sacks try bumping Roughing the Passer up to 54, anything over and RTP will take over the penalties.

Re: A methodical approach to understanding sliders. Tests & Resuls

I will take another look at Pass Coverage. I saw nearly every pass being swatted or intercepted on 100 in the situation I tested. I'll try and see if I can find another scenario like that. I do know that I have seen some great swats in my dynasty games with a safety flying by the WR swatting the ball away at full speed. Also, tossing up the long ball into double coverage is asking for interceptions at PC 75.

You may be able to stifle sacks with the intentional grounding penalty slider. i noticed that sacks are heavy at 100, but less at 75. In my last game (shown below) I recorded zero sacks for both teams in a very pass-heavy game.

Hawaii is always a very high scoring game, but this was an offensive slugfest. I was down 7-28, worked my way back to 28-28, but ended up losing 42-45. CPU running game was decent, mine was terrible. I really like the fact that these sliders can generate completely different games.
