I appreciate your thread man, now that youve been honest with youself and stuck to it, you should fire up Fiddys sliders and do the whole thing over just for compare and contrast sake.

Just only to see what the actual difference is, good or bad.

Im only curious how the 2 would compare.

What exactly is threshold used for?

Basically, from my knowledge, it dictates the speed differentiation between players in order to emulate true speed on the field.

The higher the threshold, the closer the players will remain to one another despite their speed, agility, and acceleration attributes.

The lower the threshold, you will begin to see legitimate separation between players on the field and they tend to play toward their true player attributes.

In other words, a running back with 96 speed, 95 acceleration, and 93 agility should never be "hawked" down by a 300 lbs D-Lineman who has 85 speed, with 80 acceleration, and 70 agility.

The sweet spot with player threshold this year in my opinion is between 0-25. I use 0, in that, I believe it helps with regards to the cpu throwing over and under his receiver, especially on slant routes.

Oraeon1224 has written down his results and opinions with regards to tested player threshold in his slider thread.

Boston College QB had a 70% completion rating.
Boston College still did not utilize their running game as much as I would have like to have seen.
Sack totals for both schools was pretty good.
This game I forced a lot of passes and the defense capitalized on it.
Possession time for both schools was about even, this was good to see.

Here is a link to the box score of Minnesota's most recent game this past week against UNLV. I will throughout the season test to see if I can generate some of the box scores that are dictated in real life.

I would like to have seen the AFA running game more potent, but it did not happen. AFA had 30 rushing attempts but did not generate much yardage.

Against Colgate last night AFA had 64 rushing attempts. Link to the bottom of the screen for the game against Colgate.

K. Pearson went 5/10 and had a 50% completion rating for the game.

Last night K. Pearson went 5/8 with a 62% completion rating against Colgate. Very interesting to see the stats match up pretty closely to a real game.

Unfortunately all stats are not being reported.

Assisted tackles are not being recorded.

Minnesota had 3 turnovers, but only one was recorded; two interceptions and one forced fumble that resulted in a TD.

EMU's QB was held to a 48% completion rating this game.

On slow speed there are instances where players appear to be stuck in the mud after handoffs and receptions.

Re: I Will Say It First: This Game is PROGRAMMED to be Played on Default...

I agree that the game plays pretty well on default. However most of us that use sliders use them because on default the game is far to easy which makes it highly unrealistic. When I first got the game I used default AA and went undefeated with Old Dominion. Just because you seem to get a challenge from default does not mean that default is the way to go for everyone. Realistic stats and visuals are meaningless if I can go undefeated every year with any one star school.
