Re: SkUnDy's Saturday Night Fever Heisman Sliders

This is the game that put me in the SEC Championship, if of course I don't lose another SEC (2 left). With Bama already losing to Vandy and Ark, me and Tex Am are the only SEC teams left with 1 conference loss.

Re: SkUnDy's Saturday Night Fever Heisman Sliders

Arkansas had a losing record and they came in determined to win but it wasn't enough. They played well in the first half, keeping the game close, 28-21 at the half.

The second half was uneventful. I didn't throw the ball once and focused on chewing up clock time. My only scores coming from fg. My defense played well enough to hold Ark to only 7 pts.

R. Buchanan, a soph(rs) with a 97 ovr had a stellar game, going 16/19 and 4 td's. He prob could have put up 400 yds and 6 tds but like I said I didn't throw the ball in the 2nd. He is currently 4th in the Heisman run.

L. Treadwell had a nasty one handed snag with :30 left in 2nd, helping to move the ball down the field to get a td before halftime.

Re: SkUnDy's Saturday Night Fever Heisman Sliders

SEC Championship:

Georgia came out hot in the first qtr with back to back 50+ yd td pass by Lemay. On the kick off after the 2nd td pass Georgia was up 14-7 but Treadwell brought us back with an explosive 100+ yd kickoff return for a td.

My defense could not stop the Dawgs giving up another td pass in the 2nd qtr, putting Lemay over 200 pass yds. I responded with a FG to make the score 21-17, Georgia.

My defense finally came alive, Senior FS Elston picked off a pass intended for Terry on a come back route and took it to the house for 6 with 2 min left before half. Halftime score was 24-21.

Both offenses scored in the 3rd qtr, the score 31-28 going into the 4th. Georgia would not score again but Dawg WR Terry continued to shine as he did all game.

My run game was horrible all 4 qtrs but it did allow me to go on a 15 play, 5 min drive, with all 3rd downs converted with a run, I added to the score with 7. Terror struck in the 4th, I lost Treadwell for 4 weeks with a hip pointer.

Georgia couldn't get their act together in the 4th and Lemay threw his 2nd pick of the day with under 2 min left, needless to say I ran the clock out. I'm not looking forward to playing for the National Championship without Treadwell but........

The fresh did make a great catch in double coverage, we may be ok:

Do you have success playing zone D? Versus the pass specifically.

Re: SkUnDy's Saturday Night Fever Heisman Sliders

What's up Skundy. I've been using the close to default system. What I did differently was use the rush d slider to help the CPU running gm and slow down my running gm. The reason I'm using rush D is to allow the infinity engine to play out on both sides of the ball with default RBA and TKL. I have user Rush D on 5, CPU rush d on 95. The game really shines, you see a ton of animations and the physics really pop with default RBA and Tkl. You should check it out. You also don't see many QB's dragging DT!

I have success with zone but not all the time. I tend to play man coverage until the opposing team gets closer to the redzone and when the field is shorter I switch to zone.

The cpu defense plays zone much better than user, I don't understand it but its true. They have a ton of success stopping the pass with zone but the user defense just doesn't play it as well.

Re: SkUnDy's Saturday Night Fever Heisman Sliders

Jah my other set Real Deal, has user rush d @ 0 and for a while I played with cpu rush d @ 100. Cpu rush d @ 100 was tough but I found that it took away from some play calling ability bc the defense was never fooled.

I had user tackle jacked up as well though so that may have been the problem. I will have to try it with your idea of default tackle settings and see how it plays.

Bout to play Nebraska

This game is very important because we're both 7-1(4-0) and whoever wins this game pretty much will be in line for the Big10 championship game

And they are in my division so it makes even more important
