Shmeezil's AA Sliders

I know, I know, another slider set. Trust me, the last thing I want to do is direct your attention away from playing the game and onto another set of sliders that may or may not be what you're looking for. However, after months testing just about every other set listed and following the trends found by several other slider geniuses, I decided to do a little research and testing myself and then figured I might as well share it with the world. So here it is. Now, I am not nearly as savvy as the likes of Matt10 or Jarrod and cannot explain exactly why everything is the way that it is, but I will give details when I can.

Props to (in not particular order): Matt10, Jarrod, Skundy, Charter, The Gaming Disciple, Jrue, Fiddy, Oraeon, ZaPPPa and Playmakers (RIP his OS soul). We all appreciate the time and effort you all put in to making the game as fun as possible.

Preface: I play as CU and I play sim. I'm not smart enough nor do I play enough to know any cheat plays. I switch around on D pre-snap, but I don't switch during the play and I let the CPU play the ball in the air. Only if the user controlled defender is in the area do I press triangle to go for the pick. I rarely control the DL because I suck at it.

I did extensive testing on pass coverage because that was the area that was most frustrating to me. I tested in Dynasty Mode and in Practice. I used the match-up skill to test the effect that different difficulty levels and different sliders had on Speed, Route Running and Release. From what I found, only route running was effected by the Pass Coverage slider and All American difficulty produced realistic speed differences. From there, I ran play after play, changing the INT slider, along with OPI/DPI and threshold until the coverage looked right and players, both offense and defense, reacted to the ball appropriately.

For everything else, I relied on the findings of other sets.

Without further ado...

Gameplay Options:
Offensive Skill: All American
Defensive Skill: All American
Quarter Length: 8 mins
Game Speed: Normal
Threshold: 25
HFA: On
Ice Kicker: On

Penalties:
Offsides, False start, Holding: 99
Facemask: 54
OPI: 80
DPI: 20
KR/PR Int: 1
Clipping: 50
Int Grounding: 60
Rough Pass: 54
Rouch Kick: 1

USER/CPU
QBA: 15/50
PBL: 55/70
WRC: 35/45
RBA: 40/55
RBL: 0/75
PCV: 45/50
INT: 60/40
RDF: 35/50
TAK: 45(40)/75

At the start of every game I put both User and CPU Big Hit to Conservative and Strip to Aggressive.

Also, I sim all special teams plays so I have everything at 50.

I urge you to try these as is, but of course, they are not for everybody. I do think that INT, PCV, OPI and DPI should remain untouched. I have tried just about every combo and these produce the most realistic animations.

As always, stats and feedback are much appreciated. If you have any questions or want an explanation for anything, just ask.

I'll kick off the stat-posting with a much-need Pac 12 victory over #12 UCLA...

Well crap! I thought I could ride that upset win into another one the following week @uDubb, but I got trounced! It was snowy. They stuffed my run game. Every time I thought I had some daylight, Shaq Thompson flew in and shut it down. Even worse, my all-everything WR, P Rich, hurt his back and is out 10 weeks. After a slow 1st quarter, Keith Price was methodical and picked me apart, finding receivers all over the field including a bomb to Kevin Smith, who out-jumped my safety to pull in the TD. If I can figure out how to post video I will because it was a really nice animation. I didn't get much pressure on the QB. Maybe they have a solid OL or maybe I need to drop PBL a notch or two.

Re: Shmeezil's AA Sliders

I'm going to increase user Tackle by 5. Just played a half against Cal (before the game inexplicably froze) and their 180 lb RB, Bigelow (55 trucking) was bulling over LB's in the flat and their were just too many missed wrap up tackles because of the aggressive strip.

Re: Shmeezil's AA Sliders

Anyone using these? I am curious how the passing game is on this set.
