    Playmakers CPU vs CPU Varisty level sliders

    I have a coach mode set of sliders which i utilized all last year but then i started playing CPU vs CPU games and I must admit this mode might very well be even better than Coach mode.

    The Sliders are broken down in two separate sections do to edited rosters not performing the same way as default rosters.

    The 1st section posted is sliders i've tweaked using Buffeye's rosters and the 2nd section is sliders i've tweaked using Historic Clssic Rosters.

    I think setting playbooks and coaching strategy works great and really enhances the playing experience as i found the CPU teams really stick with the gameplans you assign them.)

    I'm still looking at penalties and may update them later but for the most part I've been using the same settings as my coach mode sliders.

    Hey Playmaker, what kind of completion percentages are you seeing? At first try, I had a terrible bowling green QB go 10/10 against Ohio state to start a game...

      With Pass Coverage at default 50 I was seeing QB's complete around 75-80% at a high rate over my 1st 3 weeks of Dynasty play.

      Way too many big plays were happening down the field with Pass Coverage at 50.

      Over my last two weeks of Dynasty play I've moved the Pass Coverage Slider up to 65 and the Comp % have dropped to around 60-70%.

      I still see big plays down the field which is what I like they just don't happen as frequently now.

      I play 3 full games per week so I usually see about 6-8 different QB's that week to track the stats.

      Ultimately I want to see the Comp % range from 55-65 with an occasional high range of 70%......

      So I will keep track of my stats for about another 1-2 weeks worth of games with it at 65 before moving the Pass Coverage Slider up to it's next level which will be around 75-80.

      I don't believe QBA at default 50 is the issue because I see quite a few off target throws in a realistic manner by the QB's and I pay in a Dynasty that features a great deal of Legendary QB's on the Roster.

      To get the results you want I would possibly consider starting out with Pass Coverage at 100 MAX...... Play a few games and you'll know right away if the QB's struggle to complete passes then it needs to be lowered down but no further than 65 again since that guy went 10/10 in your 1st try with the current settings.

        Made 1 update increased Run defense slider from 35 to 50.

        Wanted to get LB's more active in running game to shed blocks quicker.

            I've been avg around 12 penalties per game total....

            I even saw a game where one team had 15 penalties alone....

            I saw a Def PI and Illegal touching penalty at one time but that was when i changed someting and forgot to keep track of the settings....

            I haven't seen either one since with current setup but I'm going to keep testing to see if i can get those two penalties called again.

              Guess why I stopped buying Madden after Madden 12.

              Will use these sliders in my dynasty but will find a way to trim down those rushing yards to about 150 average a game.

                I've modified these on the front page....

                Decreased QBA from 50 to 35 (Looking to make accuracy more univeral with all rosters)
                Increased INT from 50 to 80
                Increased Tackle from 15 to 20

                I'm still observing QBA + WR Catch slider to make these universal for all rosters.....

                One thing I've done differently now is increase the INT Slider because I think it allows the Defenders mainly elite CB's to be more aggressive in Coverage and not just stand and watch passes being thrown their direction.

                Way too often defenders would simply just drop INT's at the lower settings....

                The beauty of this being on Varisty level is that the INT slider can be increased higher and you still won't see that many picks just more aggressive DB play when the ball is in the air near them....

                  i decided to flip the qba and wr catch sliders around

                  didn't like the lower qba effecting their ypc.....

                  switched it back to default 50 and reduced wr catch to 35 and int to 65.

                  played pretty balance my last game between tennessee vs ucla....the vols won in overtime 21-18

                  manning comp 61% vs aikman 58% which i loved seeing despite their high accuracy ratings.

                  tennessee had 6 drops with wr catch at 35 which i didn't like but ucla only had 2 using the same settings.....so it may have just been a fluke game for the vols wr's.

                    Awesome slider set. Only thing I toned down was the penalties. Face mask to 58 and clipping to 58. I seemed to be getting about 16 to 18 penalties per game. Could have something to do with using a lower tiered team (Troy) and their lower ratings ....dunno?

                      I was hesitant to lower it because some games i do get low penalties but then in others i can get up 12-16 penalties which i do like because i can't tolerate a football game that renders no penalties LOL!

                      So i prefer the higher penalty settings....

                      I have seen both punt and kick returns called back for clipping so i may give your settings a shot for a few games

                        I am sure I haven't had the number of games played to get a great sample size. I am going to go through more and see if there is a higher variance. Definitely did notice the majority of the penalties were face mask and clipping. Clipping on a lot of punt and kick returns

                          Cool thanks for the feedback....

                          This game is a such an addiction watching CPU vs CPU the exact total opposite when i 1st tried playing human vs CPU gameplay which just seemed to have more problems than i was willing to tackle anymore do to inconsistent slider behavior.

                          In my latest game i saw both cpu QB's fail to deliver on a deep ball by either over throwing the target or under throwing the target.....

                          I still see a few more drops than i would like but i'm going to continue to give WR catch at 35 about another weeks worth of games before possibly increasing it......

                          I love the fact that more WR's have difficulty making catches in traffic at that setting and yet i still see awesome SPC catch animations take place at the same time.

                          The Tackle & WR Catch sliders are the last two sliders that I'm unsure of right now before finalizing this set......

                              I couldn't get the Sliders to perform universal with the heavly edited classic rosters I use and Buffeye's rosters I decided to seperate the two sets with the biggest change being at QBA......

                              Both sets are listed up above for comparison as i will continue to tweak every few weeks or so until i've reached a good stable base foundation.

                              The goog thing about CPU vs CPU Sliders is that once you get going in a good direction they don't consume all of your time making constant tweaks all year......which is a pain for Human vs CPU gameplay
