Oh heck....one more....the FSU game....not good....not good at all. FSU was clearly the best team on the field talent-wise. Their defense was outstanding, I am actually proud of myself for getting 21 points on the board.

Re: 50(ish) Threshold-based Slider Set for NCAA 14

Wish I knew how to post those nice clean stats! On the other hand I'll do it the long way.....after hours of trying to decide which team I was going to build into a powerful program I chose the Bowling Green Falcons. No coach skills off and def coordinators have 1 point. I made a pretty easy schedule for the first year...well I thought anyway. There is a HUGE difference from testing with good teams and now playing with bad ones. I may not win a game all year!

Bg/Old Dominion

Score 28 - 38
Fds 28 - 17
Rushing 43-200 1td - 27-98 3tds
Passing 22/41-298 2tds 2ints - 19/37-362 2tds
Total 84-498 - 64-460
Turnovers 2 - 0
Sacks 2 - 4

I was down 17 at the start of the 4th was able to put a few drives together to get it to 31 - 21 with 6:00 to go. Odu 3rd and 1 at there on 34, I was bringing the house to stop the run and they called a dang pass out to the te who broke the tackle of the corner, the fastest player on my defense just about caught him 89 spd 88 acc te 78 spd 73acc but he had way to big of a lead. I still had some time left so to the air I went scoring the td took more time than I wanted 38-28. Next I actually had a defensive stop only to throw a pick inside the odu 20 which ended any chance. Great game, but I am thinking a hc skill point or two may have been a good idea. Illinois up next I'll be happy to stay within 30.

I played Illinois at 3:00 am this morning I couldn't put the controller down. I was hoping to sts y within 30 judging by the previous game. Well Illinois jumped out to a 17-0 lead before I ever even had 20 yards of offense. Pretty well sputtered up until the 4th quarter where I seem to play my best minus the game changing ints I have a knack to throw. Made it closer than it really was but it wasn't meant to be...

Bg/Illinois

Score 28 - 33
Fds 22 - 24
Rushing 17-39 - 27-121 2tds
Passing 33/57-394 4tds 3ints - 31/52-406 2tds 2ints
Total 433 - 527
Turnovers 3 - 3

Travis Greene the best player I have had 5 carries for 34 yards and was knocked out for the season with a broken collarbone, the other 3 backs virtually combined for nothing. My o line was dominated the entire game. Plenty of big plays and the impact players are doing damage. My defense leaks like a dam with the flood gates open. I really tried to get creative in playcalling but in the end one bad call went for a 62 yard td.

Through 2 games the cpu best wr has went over 125 yards in each. Big plays are plentiful.I have given up 12 plays of 30 or more yards and 4 of 60 or more, while on offense I have 14 of 20 yards or more 2 of 60 or more and 1 of 82. Next up I believe is Akron maybe a win?

does the coaches aggression still need to be 65/35, or will they play well with out it

Well guys, jp18 did some awesome work using speed/acceleration tables and from that work, determined that a setting of 55 threshold is the speed that most accurately portrays all player speeds - LBs don't play too fast, RBs can break away, and WRs can get deep - IF the ratings allow. We both feel that this is the most ratings-based threshold - the gameplay is smooth and the potential for big plays definitely exists....if the ratings allow it. I'm sure jp can fill you all in on his experiments if you'd like to know.

A little about the slider settings and some notable differences between what I have historically used for 1 threshold versus 55 threshold.

Offsides/False Start/Holding = 80: This setup gives this best blend of block shedding, not too much holding, but an equal push for both the O-line and D-line. Blockers get downfield well, depending on their ratings - you will notice a difference though if you try to run traps, counters, or sweeps using low Spd/Acc O-linemen.

KRI/RTK = 25/43: Speeds are more accurately portrayed across the board. As such, we don't need to juice the defenders as much with the KRI slider. You will see a nice mixture of read-react and a variety of pursuit angles based on player ratings.

IG = 65: Much lower, but this really a wonderful setting for this setup. The CPU is aggressive, has great pocket presence, and will do a great job getting their number 1 receivers involved.

CPU RBA = 45: I know that 40 is a nice setting to give the CPU some "swerve". However, the setting of 45 really blends decisive running with evasive running. The CPU does a much better job of hitting the hole for a couple of yards than trying to bounce everything outside (and often getting caught for a loss).

RDEF = 10/10: I love 5/5 too, but 10/10 still allows for great pass defense but allows for some deep completions to be made for both sides.

So...with all that said, here is the set. Give it a shot - we hope you will all enjoy it as much as we have....
Josh...would you suggest changing anything to this set since i auto pass with my QB. or try as is?

The games I played were with the 65/35 setup. HOWEVER, I really think it plays better with default aggression and that is how I am going to be rolling.

I would adjust whatever sliders you normally adjust for autopass. Never play that mode, so no idea.
