EDIT: no, you can't rip MP3's from a disc. damn.

So whats the deal? EA says it has to be in MP3 format? What do we rip them as?

I had no problem using MP3 files for my music. Most of them are in that format so not sure what other issues people are having.

for 360 it can be any audio format the 360 can play for the game to recognize it. for PS3 it has to be MP3 for the game to recognize it.

i burned the songs to a cd-r as mp3s, and the 360 ripped them off onto its hdd. worked like a charm, even though its hassle. wish you could copy it over wirelessly through a network or zune. heck even a jump drive.

how did you rip it to the HDD? when i tried a disc with MP3s on it, i never got an option to rip it.

i agree about the over the network thing. all my music is shared over the network. would be a lot easier for me.
