I didn't have any problem using a flashdrive... try that, it was simple and easy

However, for your problem... you may want to check the file format that the PS3 rips the songs and make sure its set to mp3.

Re: How do you put sounds on PS3?

I am having this same problem.

How do you check which format the PS3 is burning them onto the system with?

How do i make sure they are in MP3 format?

I personally am transferring songs onto my flash drive from my iTunes, and then onto my PS3 HD. iTunes is AAC format i believe.

HELP!!!
