Sometimes I bid on things I know have no interest in winning if it helps the market of my current inventory stay higher.

The 8 is for douchers and folks who enjoy baths with their dad. Undercutting simply to undercut is crooked, I think. But it is what it is.

Another tip -- if you see someone on the AH for a good BIN price, check the rest of the AH to see if there's an even better deal out there. I've had several instances where I scoop someone up immediately and then go to the next page and see the same guy for even less. The undercut wars can be your best friend sometimes.
