I use a 4-2-5, so I just want 2 good coverage linebackers. They don't blitz often, but they need good speed and coverage.

Re: WHo are some of the best coverage linebackers??
I'm not so sure about Rivers. I've had him for a while and he constantly drops easy picks and leaves guys wide open. It may just be me, but I didn't like him. I sold him for 2800 coins a few days ago. He is cheap, but he still wasn't worth what I paid for him IMO.
One LB that I like for coverage is Justin Houston. He's pretty fast, and he's in the gold starter pack, so I'm sure you can find him in the auction house dirt cheap.Comment

Yeah I have Houston. He isn't bad. I guess I want someone a bit better and to excel in a zone coverage role. You need two pretty good linebackers in the 4-2-5.Comment

I have used CB Tracy Porter as an OLB and had success. E is actually rated higher at OLB and FS than he is at CB (89 overall). Great coverage ability with pretty solid tackling.Comment

Re: WHo are some of the best coverage linebackers??
I'm needing some advice for my second MLB (3-4 defense). I need someone who can 1.) actually get to his zone when I put him in a purple and 2.) catch interceptions when people try to throw their money routes into coverage. if they can cover TE's on crossing routes that would be a huge plus but I doubt there is one, I can't even get DBs to cover those in man to man.
So far I've tried Patrick Willis out and I did not like him at all. Dropped picks, wouldn't go to his zone, got roasted in man to man... basically he did nothing for me. I just picked up Dan Connor but I haven't used him yet.
I'm considering Elite Teo, Gold Keuchly, or potentially Ray Lewis if his price drops some.Comment

Maybe I'm biased but Lavonte David is a really solid LB for me.Red Zone

Re: WHo are some of the best coverage linebackers??
As for another LB, patrick willis has been good for me a MLB and has the speed to close on a route. So if it opens up he can catch up. Only have had him for 3 games and I've gotten 2 clutch picks from him (1 in overtime to seal the victory)Comment

Re: WHo are some of the best coverage linebackers??
I use Jonathan Vilma, He gets a pick for me almost every game.
Also if you run the nickel there is a specific formation sub (flick left/right on the playcall screen) where the OLB is switch with a SS. Works fine for me sometimesComment
