New team-specific collections

I just started looking through the new collections and saw an LSU collection. If you collect 15 LSU players (mostly golds and a few silvers) you get a Team Captain Kyle Williams and an All-American pack.

Interesting. Looks like EA is giving us a reward for collecting teammates after all.

Nice idea but im not really sure why anyone would trade in:

Tyrann Mathieu (the honey badger)-90-CB

And 9 more guys from an improved Kyle Williams (who is already 92) and a pack... doesnt equal up to me even if i was an LSU fan

Same here. I would've thought that you would get all 15 improved versions of your players instead of one player and a pack. I'd take the other 14 improved players instead of the All-American pack, honestly.

With how the auction house looks for these cards unless you had them already it would be crazy dumb to buy them now.

Who is trying to give away 100k in coin for 1 pack and 1 card?

Works for me though cuz I wasn't trying to complete that collection and the values have skyrocketed.

The players you have to give up are way too valuable. I like the idea but the implantation is stupid. Granted if there was a Miami or Penn State one I might try and complete it (Probably have both done already) but it needs to give some coins as well or 10 packs

Just sold Kelvin Sheppard for 10k when he isn't even in the collection. Some guy on the EA forums posted that he sold his for 12k, so I went ahead and posted mine and it sold within 5 minutes, lol.

Anyways, most all of these players will drop down in prices throughout the rest of the week. I don't understand why people are buying them now. I went ahead and collected my Peterson though since his price isn't really going anywhere.

Least I can make some decent coin later tonight. I've been saving my golds since they released the Gold Duo's last week. Have Claiborne, Mingo, Dorsey, James and Steltz taking up space on my reserves. If I could get 50K total for them I'd be happy.

I just think that unless you are sitting on a goldmine of 90+ gold players, who would trade them in a face for a 92 DT and 1 AA pack. I they offered a couple upgraded players and a 7 pack AA bundle I'd consider it. You're better off selling these guys for 120K, buy a Warren Sapp and open up 15 AA packs

If you got an upgraded Patrick Peterson, this would be one awesome collection. As it is...meh, in some ways.

The good thing is it doesn't expire. I had most of the LSU guys already and cashed them in. One day when I've upgraded past Peterson, Mathieu and get a cheap Claiborne, I'll complete it. And at some point in time there'll be a Minter pop up for less than 2500.

It helped me liquidate some cards in my collection as well. I keep hitting the wall on max total cards allowed.
