Big Ten

Peter King is reporting the Big Ten is adding 5 teams. Nebraska Pittsburgh Rutgers Syracuse and Missouri. If this is done soon will it be NCAA 11 and how interesting will my wolverine dynasty be now.

Re: Big Ten

1. Why did you make 2 threads for this?
2. Source?
3. Even if this did happen (which I doubt it will), it wouldn't be for 2 or 3 more years so no, it won't be in NCAA Football 11.

The guys source was Peter King's twitter account, which cited an annarbor.com article, which cited this article, http://www.wndu.com/sports/headlines/92447574.html. Those are the only places reporting this.

King, btw, is an NFL writer for Sports Illustrated.

In other words, this is classic hearsay based on a guys word who claims to have knowledge of the situation. He said Missouri will be leaving with the rest of the teams that may follow suit. IMO, this is bogus. This is probably made up, just like the rumor a few months back that Pitt would announce its move to the Big Ten withing 2 days of that rumor starting. Did that rumor hold legs? Nope, as the Big Ten has only had internal discussions about expansion at that point, and probably as I type that holds true.

The only thing I believe is that Missouri sent out a proposal to the Big Ten that the school wants to join the conference. Who wouldnt though? Its a huge money making conference.

Have you not been keeping up with cfb since the end of the season? I'd say that the Big Ten has a 90-95% of expanding, its basically now just a matter of what team(s) and how many...

I was referring to the specific scenario the OP mentioned, not the idea of the Big X expanding which I have no doubt will happen in the near future.

Re: Big Ten

They should allow you to add teams to conferences instead of just replacing. Maybe even add a non bcs conference with teams would be cool too.
