    player positions

switch LDE, RDE, LOLB, and ROLB for strong side and weak side DEs and OLBs that switch sides depending on the offensive formation.

also, add field side and boundary side corners for the teams that run that style of defense, or just make it an adjustment that you can make within your own roster.

While I agree with the names the reason for Left and Right is for all the non-football people. They have to make it so anyone can pick the game up or so they think. Weak, Strong, Boundary, Field are all names that may confuse little Tim who got the game to impress the cool kids but knows zero about football.
Relax, it's just a video game!

So can we get the option to turn on weakside, strongside, free, strong, boundary and field defenders.

It should be an option, some times use just simple left and right (typically 3-4 teams) and some teams use Strong/Weak defenders (usually 4-3 Under teams). This would honestly be such a simple addition, I don't know why they don't add it after all this time. Atleast we have 3-D grass, right guys?

Something as simple as being on the coaches menu in dynasty.

Some 4-3 teams actually do play their ends on the same side all game... The Colts come to mind.

Yeah that's true but at least give us an option. People LOVE options.
