Here's another vote. I didn't give it much of a chance when I picked it up for PS2 when it was released, mainly because of all of the negative comments here. But I gave it another shot during bowl season, as I wanted to play some college ball and was getting tired of the NFL 2K5 gameplay, and I've been really impressed with the dozen or so games I've played so far.

Having played the XBox version also, I can definitely say that it was tons worse than the PS2 one. I just wish I hadn't listened to so many of the negative comments here when the game was released, as I could have been enjoying it for the past 5 months.

My plan for next year is just to avoid OS for the first month after NCAA releases, and make my OWN judgement on it.

I learned my lesson on this a while back. If you judge a game by a forum you will not like hardly any games because right after a game comes out there are two types of people pretty much:

1. People who like the game, are playing it and not posting.
2. People who don't like the game, quit playing and begin posting negative thoughts about the game.

Of course there are some people, especially some of the mods here, who will give pros and cons of the game and be fair but for the most part a good 80-85% of postings a week or 2 after the game comes out are ones with people finding every error, every bug or simply complaining about even the most ridiculious of things.

Buy the game next year, avoid the forum for about 1 or 2 weeks while you play it on your own. Once you form your own opinion then come back. That's what I pretty much do. If I do come on the forum right after the game comes out I avoid threads like "Ugh, such and such don't work" and such threads in which it's obvious it's just someone complaining.

I have to agree with ODOGG for the first time in my life. I actually purchased this game when it first came out but I didn't really start playing it until about a week ago because of other games plus Madden 05. I really enjoy this game and since I never was able to read anything negative about the game I have based it on my own playing experience and this game is GREAT.

I'm just now starting to tweak sliders so I expect to be playing this game well into May or June.
