why would that mean that the next one would be just as bad (as it is implied)?

Anyone know if you have to get the license from the NCAA, from each conference, or each team? It would suck if EA got the licenses to the ACC, Big 10, and the Pac 10 while ESPN got the licenses to the Big 12, Big East, and the MAC.

I'm fine with the NCAA not offering an exclusive deal to ANYONE. The question I have is will EA be going after them now? I can't see why they wouldn't knowing that hardcore ESPN gamers will simply switch to ESPN NCAA if they are offered that title. I consider myself a hardcore ESPN gamer who also likes Madden. I always buy both games, but given only one choice, would have preferred ESPN. I'll still buy Madden next year, but really want ESPN to make an NCAA game now. Anyone else feel this way?

I agree. I could definitely live with having a ESPN college game (dropping EA NCAA 2006) and EA NFL game. This is assuming that Sega could come up with a game as good as the EA college series has been.
