What is your base defense?

4-2-5 because of the multiple blitzing from LB's and DB's.

Am I the only one that felt guilty having my inverts get so many sacks from the 4-2? It seemed like there was a glitch that made my strong/weak safeties the sack masters because the OT could never get to him in time. That, and my buddy running all over it made me switch to the 4-3. I use three deep coverage mostly as well; I put my fastest linebacker at the left backer (God, I wish we actually had strong/weak backers/ends/safeties) and I don't really give up much athleticism with the 4-3.

typically i run a 4-3...but one person that I play with loves to get Miami and run nothing but capital I & option plays...after taking so many whippings I switched to the 4-2-5 specifically for him & I beat him on the regular.

I use the 3-4 mainly, but at times I like to mix in the 4-3. Sort of like the Patriots do at times.

4-3 all the way for me because Florida's secondary has no depth and until I could build it up recruiting I almost have to run 4-3.

It all depends on my team that I am using...

for example, when I am using Idaho, I will switch to the 3-4, because I will take Mike Anderson, move him to OLB and beef up the DL through recruiting.

If I am using Ohio, I will build them into a 4-2-5 and have mold my D around my SSs...I will also throw in some 3-3-5 as well with that.
