We all have a base defense; what is yours? I started out running the 4-2-5, but after getting butt raped by Mike Hart and the Michigan offensive line in a bowl game, I decided to beef up my front seven. I now run a modified 4-3 (4-3 with the alignment of a 4-4; SS plays like a true SS and rarely has deep coverage.)

In addition to this poll, would you be in favor of defensive playbooks on NCAA 2006 or beyond?

3-4 because ohio state has an ungodly amount of talent at LB position..

the nickel because i like to blitz my db and lb at the same time

You should run a 4-2-5 then; you can stop the run better and have more DBs blitzing.

i run mostly dime (using much "Gold Double X") and some straight up Cover 2.

i run 3-3-5 (w/much SS Double Spy) on Option teams and fast running QB's sometimes.

my defense is da bomb.

4-2-5.

Provides speed and flexibility. Plus I like to play a lot of 3 deep coverage.

4-3 here son! at NU I had the 3-4 working for me but since i went to clemson i have to use the 4-3. I personally love the 3-4 it provides everything I need and want
