Re: EA Securing NCAA Exclusivity?

Pretty shocking, if true. Though the story says Football, I'm wondering if it would be limited to just that, or if it would really be the NCAA as a whole?

Considering that an obvious avenue would have been for 2K Sports to use their NFL engine for a college game, this may be a pre-emptive strike by EA.

It is true. They've been at it since December from what I understand. Their intent is to wrap up the ENTIRE football gaming market, whatever the horizons.

Re: EA Securing NCAA Exclusivity?

If it is anything like the NFL deal, it's most likely ALREADY done. The NFL deal was done way before it was even announced. This rumor is probably more truth than rumor. Ohh well.

Yeah, sounds like it's just for college football. If it ends up being NCAA as whole, then i'll be extremely mad. Sooner or later though that will probably be the case. The NBA is next...

If this is true, then there are TWO groups that can kiss my derriere:

EA
NCAA

NCAA Football already sucks, IMO, this will just make it suckier. I hope the government steps in at some point and does away with all this "monopoly" nonsense.
