Re: How lame.

This is the first info released.

Relax.

Why would the first thing they announce be that they fixed some bugs with last years game? Obviously we want that, but that's not what's going to get people excited.

I'm sure they'll address some of those issues later on. Right now, they are trying to create excitement for the game.

Re: How lame.

What do you really expect from EA?

This is pretty much what I thought they would say.

Re: How lame.

While it may be fluff the concept is promising in some respects. As others have said this is only the first bit of info. I'm sure we'll get juicier stuff by E3 time.

Yep thats the way it goes. we wont know if its any good till people actually get to play it at E3 and before release. Until then people do have a right to criticize EA for last years effort - for most the game was a letdown and all the gimmicks and fluff that they always release first makes people skeptical. Myself included.

I never doubted that NCAA would be a good game until this year because of 05. And like others the create-a-cheerleader and decorate a dorm room always stick out as the crap EA always feeds us. Truth is i always took the crap with the stuff that mattered on the field - cause on the field was never as much of an issue is it is now. Every year got better until last year.

Excitement? I take your point entirely. But this isn't even a new idea. They've just taken it from another game. If they wanted to create some excitement they could have shown some new graphical features. Obviously not new effects which are going to slow the game down even more; but just something slightly different. The player models are identical and the crowds are too. Really identical. At least Madden's been shown to have some improvement, as it always does.

At least madden led with a gameplay feature. The vision passing is a serious gameplay feature. Now if its overblown like HFA in the first year is to be decided.

Re: How lame.

you people are absolutely ridiculous...

probably all the way thru May you'll bash this game....then once release date gets closer, all of a sudden everyone will be saying how incredible it is going to be....then when it arrives the compaints will once again start...(the starting left tackle for Troy State is the wrong height) then, after the it's cool to complain about the game wears off, it'll be Madden time for complaints...it's a never ending vicious cycle...i swear some people can just not be satisfied..

repeat the above for april 2006 and on and on we go.

Madden is also quick to show some graphics updates like the head turning. Admitedly this is an idea they've taken from NCAA, and should have a year ago, but it's something. Nothing different in NCAA; Nothing...........
