seriously. last year was a total bust. I couldn't even get into dynasty mode because of all the problems.

My biggest complaint was the fact that last year once you hit the button to pass, EVERY defender knew immediatly which receiver you were throwing it to (no matter where on the field), and they made unrealistic breaks on the ball. That, and I hated how linebackers with their backs turned to the ball would suddenly turn around and swat the ball....

Agreed completely.

Reading that interview and the features is like being attracted to that girl you know is trouble...but you can't get her off your mind! Rivals.com is an awesome addition, and the impact player feature seems to have a huge upside on gameplay. The backwards juke...nice! So long as they fix defensive AI like you said above and rework the O-line, they may have recovered from last year's disaster.

What stuck out the most to me was the AI DB. They still let the WR get into the best position and make the catch. They always have the DB get deeper than the WR and then the WR just goes and makes the catch in front of them.
Hopefully it's on a low level of difficulty or something.
Other than that it looked cool.

...and for the love of god fix the passing game. I don't want to turn up the CPU's passing/catching sliders to 20 and STILL see them complete 38% of their passes with Chris Leak! Things are promising at this point, I liked what I saw, but will wait for more.

THanks for the clip!!

Oh, how I wish this game would come out on the next-gen consoles. It's looking awesome!

Nice vid, I was expecting some ESPN licensing though. Is that license not for this game yet?

These fluffy new feartures are nice and all but if the gameplay has not been addressed then it's not going to matter. They can add Corso putting on every mascot head in the country but if the Discipline system is the same and if the passing game, cheating AI and playcalling are the same then it's going to be another bust.
