2006 Graphics...Really Better?

My problem isn't so much with the super-duper close ups, but with the traditional view that everybody uses for 99% of their time with the game. For my money, those graphics haven't changed since 2001, outside of a little better lighting. Just feels AWFULLY STALE to me by now.

I have "EA *****" goggles on? The only sports games I buy are EA, I'm far from an "EA *****." There is a small difference in the graphics, they are a little clearer. At a first glance does it really stand out that much? No.

The player graphics are improved but mostly what I notice is the field and the shadowing/shading effects. The graphics were never a problem anyways and are probably as good as we can expect until next-gen systems.
