Pretty good, line is looking even better, Secondary is Ok but taking a big hit with the loss of Andre Maddox.

Wow, ok, every article i have read has said returning many from the #1 defense in the nation. I always consider the best defense to be the one that gives up the least amount of yards, so do the press and most of the people i know. Its not a dream world, they are the stats. Sounds to me like you just want to agree with everyone else and try to say we didnt have the number one D in the nation. You guys don't have to get upset when i call it like it is.

I am going to address many points that have come up in this thread.

1. The UVA Linebackers are good, but dont deserve the amount of hype they get. Especially considering their tendecy to show up in big games (IE, the FSU game).

2. NCSU statistically had the best defense in the nation last year. They also had one of the worst offenses last year too. The points allowed statistic is very misleading, especially considering how many points their offense gave the other team and the amount of times opposing teams were given good field position.

3. Brock Berlin toasted that #1 defense for 45 points. Brock Berlin people. Brock Berlin.

4. The numbers the NCSU offense put up against UM means nothing. UM's defense was not as highly regarded as NCSU's. Add on top of that an underachieving DLine and one of the most inexperienced secondaries to ever stroll through Coral Gables, you'll see why Jay Davis had a field day.

5. FSU has the best group of LBs in the ACC.
