Only user controlled teams can change conferences (well, including the team you're switching with).

In some way it'd be nice if they'd include an option for it....but I'd definately want the choice to disable. Otherwise you could end up with madden 2004 problems (or at least the ones I had) where 7 years into your franchise half the teams had relocated. It just wouldn't be right to play the WAC USC Trojans or MAC Michigan Wolverines.

I agree totally. They've screwed up the franchise relocation in Madden, so I'm glad they don't have auto conference changing in NCAA.
