People trying to use the hit stick

Im used to pressing down for the Hit Stick in Madden so im straight...

That makes sense now. I was never getting big hits. Was anyone else getting more fumbles when they pulled up on the R analog stick?

i'm not so far but know I don't use it much,i'll just try to strip the ball out with the black button,trust me it works.

The timing seems off. I think it's my PS2 as on Madden the hit stick was lagged several SECONDS.

Exactly ,when I use the "Hit Stick"it's like it takes 3 seconds to register on the game ,I don't know if it's suppose to be like that or if it was poorly implemented.

Yep, I have the same problem and question about it. For now I just either try to strip the ball or just do divinhg tackles.

Aside from that though the game is great.

I've noticed it definately isn't as sensitive as the Madden hit stick. Maybe it is the awareness of the player but it seems like it is a delayed "hit" not automatic like in Madden.
