Race for the Heisman overrated?

I believe you're correct. As I understand it, in RftH the CPU handles recruiting, roster management, etc. The only thing the gamer does is play the actual games and keep track of his cyber-selfs progress.

They are two seperate modes. As was stated elsewhere in the thread, once your player has completed his eligibility you have the option to make him a coach (and thereby convert your RftH to a regular dynasty). Alternately, you can just start a dynasty and skip the whole RftH process.

this mode would be so much better if you only controlled your player.

ex. you play DB. when your O is on the field, you can either A) watch, or B) sim until the next time you are on the field.

you dont even call the D. the d coordinator does, and you run what he tells you to. that would make the mode much better imo. i cant get into it because i would love to focus on playing D, but in the current version, i have to worry about O too

That would be pretty sweet. It might be cumbersome but could you switch the controllers back to CPU vs CPU when your team is on offense? I'm assuming most wouldn't be interested in watching that much of the game so it wasn't a viable option for them to implement.

you could do that, however you still have to call defense. you cant do a ask corso on D. if i play O though, i may do that, since you can get plays from a "coordinator" (corso)

Will the CPU run the play if you don't press any buttons after the ball is hiked?

It's weird there isn't an ask Corso on D. I believe they have this in Madden.
